Video: The world of deaf -mute

Samsung taught dozens of people to the language of gestures to please a deaf man from Turkey

Samsung made a draw using hidden cameras for a deaf resident of Turkey to advertise their video conferences for people with hearing impairments. It is reported by CNET .

For eight days from the date of publication on YouTube, the advertising video gained more than five million views. Video lasting a little less than three minutes talks about creating a “world without borders” for a resident of Istanbul named Muharrem.

To surprise the young man and to shoot the whole process, Samsung needed a month of preparation. This time was spent on planning, placing hidden cameras and teaching the language of deaf -mute neighbors of the protagonist.

Since only a small number of people are able to communicate with gestures, and the infrastructure for people with similar types of disability in Turkey is underdeveloped, daily communications are given to Muharrem not easy: it was from misunderstanding others for at least one day Samsung tried to save him. When the young man left the house with his sister, all the people they met along the way, including several passers -by and taxi driver, greeted them in the dumb language.

In the final of the video, Mukharrem arrived in the square, where the girl from the Samsung advertising shield announced that the company decided to show him the “world without barriers”, after which the whole filming group and his neighbors, who taught the language of gestures, greeted the hero of the video.

The video was shot as an advertising campaign of a call center for the deaf-mute Duyan Eller, in which in the language of gestures you can seek various types of social assistance.

Recently, the IT industry has increasingly come to the rescue of people with communication problems. For example, in early March, the first Internet mixer for children and adults with speech disorders and letters “ Sesam ” was launched in Russia, which allows you to exchange with close specialized iconograms, from which you can make full messages.
