The president’s verdict was quite harsh and cruel: “We need to work, not promote ourselves.”

It must be said that an almost similar situation, when the prime minister calmly announced to the whole country about certain crimes committed by a person on trial, and the president noted that no government official should speak out about the trial before the verdict, has already arisen in connection with the case Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev. Then, however, Medvedev was softer. In addition, at the forum in Davos, he unexpectedly changed his position and actually found Khodorkovsky guilty, and even threatened all other entrepreneurs that this would happen to everyone who does not comply with the law - despite the fact that the day before, in an interview with Vedomosti, he said that will not comment on the verdict until it comes into force. During the time between these two statements, the verdict did not have time to enter into legal force. However, later, at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, the president admitted that he was not very aware of the case of Khodorkovsky and Lebedev and asked for an expert opinion to be prepared.

Not so now: after all, it turns out that the accusation of PR was thrown by the president against the head of not only the FSB and the Investigative Committee, but also the government.

Bortnikov reported to the president that the alleged perpetrator of the terrorist attack was connected with the North Caucasus underground, he was 20 years old, he lived in one of the republics of the North Caucasus and “in August last year he joined one of the gangs.” According to one of the examinations, as the head of the FSB stated, “the fragments of the suicide bomber’s body contained a huge amount of potent narcotic and psychotropic substances.” There are also assumptions about the organizer of the explosion, and all measures are being taken to quickly apprehend all those involved. Several people who have information about those involved in the crime and the preparation of the terrorist attack have been detained. “Persons who assisted the suicide bomber” have been identified and put on the wanted list.

Bastrykin, for his part, reported on the investigation into the explosion in Kuzminki on New Year’s Eve - then, according to investigators, one of the suicide bombers, who were planning to carry out an explosion on Manezhnaya Square, accidentally blew herself up.

Medvedev approved the fact that the investigation supposedly has positive results, that there is progress, but warned against announcing that the crime has been solved.

Well, Putin, speaking about the “generally solved” case, added that the terrorist attack was absolutely senseless. Terrorists, in his opinion, “often don’t even understand what they want. They cannot formulate their demands.” Putin said that this is “such anarchic terrorism against everyone and everything: against the state, against the existing government, against the country.” Do we need to understand that, according to the Prime Minister, there is also terrorism in support of the state, the existing government and the country?
