The main topic of this issue was, of course, the assassination attempt on President Inshetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.
The already difficult situation in this republic after the tragedy attracted everyone's attention. Here calls began to be heard for holding an emergency congress of the Ingush people.
Among others, the most frequently mentioned demand is to return Ruslan Aushev to the leadership of Ingushetia.
However, the forum of social and political movements of the republic that took place sharply opposed the holding of the congress.
Moreover, Aushev himself (see the interview on page 15), who agreed to accept such a proposal during Evkrov’s treatment, later also called for “consent, cohesion and unity of the people” in his address to the Ingush people.
He pointed out that “the decision to convene a congress of the people of Inushetia, according to the current Constitution of the republic, is made by the president or acting president. “And everyone needs to strictly adhere to this norm.”
“Another Name of a Hero” is the hitherto forgotten story of the commander of the cavalry regiment of the Red Army, Chechen Visaitov, who valiantly fought in the Great Patriotic War, a private participant in the Finnish, German and Japanese wars.
No, we are not talking about the famous Mavlid Visaitov, but about the guard, Major Sakka Visaitov.
