Honor
Recently, a lot has been written about judge Danilkin. Therefore, in order not to provoke Viktor Nikolayevich with additional irritation, I will try to write less about him, and even less contact him. I apologize in advance that I can’t avoid this at all. I also apologize to several people, I intend to tell about personal communication with whom and about impressions of this communication. And now - essentially.
Recently, it turned out that the UKP was still being investigated by a certain “big business of Yukos”, and everything that has already happened, including two processes of Lebedev and Khodorkovsky, is, as they say, not to do, but to Delishka. What kind of such a big business is there, the UPP, of course, does not tell. But, I think, something is really monstrous, because if there are already sentences for the units of this case to a lifelong conclusion and terms of 6, 8, 12, 13 years, what is contained in a “big business”, it is scary to imagine.
At the same time, I have to admit that I am familiar with many defendants in these small, “preliminary” “cases of Yukos” personally. And with some it is not familiar, but I partly represent the essence of the matter. For example, I am not familiar with A. Kurtsin, who, in the aggregate of two sentences, should spend in a strict regime colony of 15 years, i.e. More than other killers. The court agreed with the accusers’s allegations that Curcin created fictitious charitable organizations, which Yukos allocated help, and then this money was laundered and plundered. So, I was a member of the Yukos charitable council, who made all decisions on such issues. It is ridiculous to even assume that the money was automatically allocated for everything that was asked for. In addition, as far as I recall, Curcin was not invited to any (!) Meeting, that is, he had no physical ability to convince the members of the Council of anything. Nevertheless ... The press stated that the verdict of Curcin was so cruel because he did not testify against his immediate leadership.
Also, I was not familiar with A. Pichugin, sentenced to life imprisonment for organizing a series of murders. The court in absentia also appointed L. Nevzlin as the customer. But I just know the non -Zaporin. Even his most zealous ill -wishers never characterized him as a person with insufficiently developed intellect. And what kind of fool should be to entrust the murders of the “staff” employee of the security service? But the main thing for me is not even this: we talked hundreds of times, including, of course, very sensitive, mentioning people who cause the most unpleasant emotions. Nevzlin never showed aggression even when Sechin, Putin or the like were mentioned, not to mention his competitors in those days when he was engaged in business in Russia. I did not see her on my face, I did not feel in the tone, despite the fact that he did not need to pretend to be in front of me. Let me remind you that in the case there was neither formal evidence, nor the confidence of witnesses, and many again explain the most severe sentence to Pichugin by the fact that he did not give the testimony necessary for the state prosecution.
I was not familiar with V. Pereverzin and S. Bakhmina, I learned about V. Malakhovsky only from the press when he was arrested, with P. Lebedev he was familiar quite superficially. But I knew Mikhail Khodorkovsky well. And I want to talk about two episodes. The first happened immediately after Lebedev’s arrest, in July 2003. Several people participated in the conversation, and at some point-well, we live in Russia-there was a topic about the possibilities to try to pay off. Khodorkovsky’s reaction was instant. I remember his answer literally, but I definitely can’t quote, since he is not for every ear. Therefore, I will replace one word, completely preserving the meaning: "There can be a lot of criminal cases, but I have one honor."
The second conversation was four days and five nights before the arrest of Khodorkovsky. We met together, discussed everything, and he escorted me to the car. Then we had a project to support the RSU, and Khodorkovsky, unexpectedly for me, asked to think more about 10 universities, preferably provincial, who would make sense to help help. The RSUSU Yukos was supposed to allocate $ 10 million per year, and ten more MBX proposed to give five. I asked him, if it would work out a lot, and he said: "If everything is fine with Yukos, then a little." I believe what a person thinks about whose conversations about the arrest and sparrows on the branches say a lot about him.
Not only my experience is a lot and many who have seen a person over fifty suggests that I did not work among the bandits. All the behavior of people who find themselves in the dungeons, and who in emigration, indicates that they are not scum, not scoundrels and criminals (I am silent that the prosecution that sounded in the hall No. 7 of the Khamovnichesky Court does not meet any criteria neither the right, nor logic, nor common sense). Moreover, Khodorkovsky’s internal decency becomes even more obvious, I would say convex when you see how people gathered and gathered around him behave in these ships, how they receive homeric terms, but do not go to transactions - no, not with investigators, with their own honor.
I heard that Judge Danilkin used to be an officer. Many of the previous classes of this class are not alien to the idea of honor. Now the words “Your Honor” should be addressed to Viktor Nikolaevich due to the presence of a judicial title. I want to wish him not to forget that life does not begin and does not end on December 15, 2010, that he and there will be a lot of criminal cases in practice, but there was an honor and, I hope, there will be one.
