Do not be afraid of a person with a ballot

When the editorial board of the Orient Committee of the National Assembly discussed the draft declaration, I objected to the words "The entire political spectrum." My argument: the members of the National Assembly do not include supporters of two popular movements - neo -fascism (the cult of the omnipotent leader of the despotic state - look for these in the vicinity of Seliger) and "authoritarian progressives."

I understand the logic of those who are afraid of the results of direct democracy. All their reasoning brilliantly summed up in the "hedgehog" Leonid Radzikhovsky.

Indeed, life, as the homeless person who considered to hang around in a famous joke, said, is "getting better." Everything seems to be more or less. Just a hundred political zones, all the shooting in the south, the ubiquitous lie on the "box" ... We successfully survived all this under Brezhnev, Andropov, Chernenko, early Gorbachev-and nothing. And then the breakup will begin - the rabies of the dissatisfied crowd, the collapse of the exchange, the scenes of the people's reprisals "with reptiles" ... Compare it yourself?!

You just need to forget the face of the mother of Yuri Chervochkin on the failed rally on May 6 ... Forget the shell fragments from Beslan, covered with fat soot in alive children ... Forget the trailer, clogged by the naked bodies of the dead on October 13, 2005 in Nalchik ... Forget the global plot 359 of the Basmanny Court on May 7-on the day of the "Coronation" ... because, as it is, as if, as it. You understand, my dear reader, avenues, hung with the lincured "cops", will be worse than a thousand.

But as a person who is not alien to the story, I must say that it was the “liberal despotism” to the road to the explosions of revolutionary rage and totalitarian obsession ... The Jacobin guillotine came after the really enlightened reign of Louis XVI, who allowed the speculators to leave hungry France without bread. Lenin came after the barbaric destruction of the traditional way of the “enlightened authorist” Stolypin and supporting the really enlightened circles of Russia with Germany (for the preservation of French and English colonial positions). Hitler came after the “enlightened authoritarianism” of Field Marshal Hindenburg and Colonel von Shlyaher. It is enough to listen to the arguments of the apologists of the current Russian regime and, moreover, read leaflets of its young growth, analyze what preferences the “United Russia” shows regarding regimes and parties, see which informal groups are persecuted by power, and which feel their safety and even have hidden support - and we can draw a self -evident conclusion that the hearts of the party will reach the most authoritarian, Radical-nationalist partners. While they restrain their feelings ... But any serious crisis will force them to “expand the social base”, and then the power itself will bring the Nazis into leading structures. On the other hand, the continuation of the current “gold stagnation” will relatively quickly lead to such a level of “social necrosis”, which was not even 30 years ago. The inevitable answer to this decomposition of the state and society will be an attempt to seize power with a frank junta. And the ideology and practice of this junta will be such that it will be possible to distinguish it from fascism only under a microscope.

Each ruling class born in Russia always (in his youth and stupidity) first decides that despotic terror helps to quickly and profitably divide power and resources in favor of the late. But sprinkled with fried rooster, understand the need for guarantees of personal rights. The nobles once wiped out the oprichnin. The Communists - once a sedentary. The New Russian oligarchy, who, instead of the “velvet pinocheus”, was firmly thought about the importance of the great charter of liberties and other “thaws”.

Each newborn layer of reformal intelligentsia in our country believes that the best option is to become an adviser (not to say Consigliere) with an enlightened autocrat. Then they are thrown out. In the best case - in exile or in the non -systemic opposition. But childhood disease of demophobia is experienced by the intelligentsia after each Russian revolution.

I believe that the liberals do not have a choice: the rebellion of the crowd (meaningless and merciless) or “soft dictatorship”. And there is a choice: a fruit fraught with surprises or the inevitable fascoid evolution of power. Therefore, I propose to prefer a person with a ballot to a person with a gun and handcuffs.
