Our originality

Sergei Mironov decided to educate journalists from Germany and tell them about the features of the Russian political system. It turns out that democracy does not suffer at all due to the fact that governors are now appointed by the president. After all, regional legislative assemblies - namely, they are supposed to approve the choice of the head of state - are “a kind of electoral college that exist in other countries, including the United States.” The only difference is that the Americans have electors confirming the choice of the people.
