The Mayakovsky Theater will have restoration

The Moscow authorities announced a competition for survey work and the development of a detailed concept of restoration with the adaptation of a complex of buildings of the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky.

This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Moscow Construction Department.

“The duration of the design should not exceed six months from the date of signing the state contract. Summing up is scheduled for October 18. The initial price of the contract is 18.2 million rubles, ”the press service explained.

The project provides for the preservation of the historical appearance of the theater building, which will be adapted for modern use: the necessary conditions will be created for the creative and rehearsal activities of the theater team and comfortable conditions for visitors, modern engineering systems, the scene and the auditorium will be installed in modern theatrical and technical equipment in the theater.

In addition, a demolition of an emergency building with a total area of ​​111.7 sq.m and the main building from the courtyard with a total area of ​​1200 sq.m, the restoration of the lost historical roof with an area of ​​550 sq.m., the construction of a new multinivate building (3-5 floors) with an area of ​​7600 sq.m.
