Russian human rights activists will hold an action in Moscow against the war in Chechnya, reports Echo of Moscow. "Our goal is to demand peace negotiations, protect refugees' rights, protest against the use of war to restrict constitutional rights," said Yuri Samodurov, head of the Andrei Sakharov Public Center. The action is scheduled for December 12, Constitution Day. It is assumed that it will begin at 11 in the morning with a procession along the Boulevard Ring V from Arbatskaya to Pushkin Square, where the rally will be held. Representatives of the human rights movement are concerned, in particular, by the fact that the terrorist attack in the theater center at Dubrovka can be used to inhibit the negotiation process in Chechnya.
