Education is about interest!

We publish the thoughts of the director and founder of the Center for Education No. 686 “Class Center”- one of the strongest schools in Moscow- Sergey Kazarnovsky about the importance of additional education, which is often considered optional.

In an ancient Greek school, every boy had to be able to play Kifara. For what? In ancient Greece, every boy saw a future warrior.

And his weapon was given in his hands. But weapons are a capricious thing, created originally to protect the land, family, ideas, that is, to be in the hands of the warrior. But how to realize the line, after which they begin to destroy, enslave and destroy when the warrior turns into a bandit? It is impossible to understand this line. And it is impossible to prescribe it in any charter. You can only feel it. That is why every boy learned to play Kifara. That is why in all professional armies of the world, thinking about the spirit of soldiers, they did not neglect additional education.

By the way, this was called a classic education. An education, which, along with the study of the laws of nature, develops the emotional capabilities of man through the three main “modules”: music, painting and drama. And all because the formation of art is based on the ability to feel shades, halftones, alteration signs. And thus, the ability to contrast the physiology and unconditional of reflexes arises of such human capabilities as a sense of delicacy and intimacy, for example. And there was nothing additional there.

Let us return to our post -industrial society. What distinguishes additional education from the general? In additional education, children learn to dream, design, plan, transform their life and the world around him, trying to learn how to create. And all because participation in it, in comparison with a regular school, occurs voluntarily, as well as the choice of programs and teachers, in accordance with interest and inclinations.

When my mother found out that I began to kiss the girls in the second grade, I made a truly unexpected pedagogical decision-I took me to the chess section of the house of the pioneers, where in a few years I finished off to some kind of category, and thereby saved me from a "dissolved" life. True, she did not know that at the end of the XVIII century, Catherine II wrote in her innovation in education: “Never keep children in idleness!” That is, the organization of leisure, which is also today is the sphere of additional education, is a mandatory task of education and upbringing of youths.

And how to measure the quality of this time -tested additional education? I dare to offer some “mechanism”, realizing that the measurement of the quality of any creative product is always subjective and cannot be others. And all attempts to fit the mechanism of “per capita financing” for additional education are vain. Education is about interest! Without any divisions into basic and additional. This is a keyword. About interest in creative hooliganism, when a cocktail from the already known and recognized is prepared and is presented with endless trust as a real product.

Learning luggage - so far only a road bag, but it also makes it possible to be a little pijunas, choosing extreme routes. It is then that we, adults, would be nice to suffer ... not to rush with the assessment. No! Recall your Buratin childhood, when diligence was considered almost the main advantage.

And thank God, if our children have a taste for collecting baggage of a more weighty one. And this cursed-peasant theme “NOT is not pulling”, so many annoying positions, is beautiful.

Its burden does not pull, but, contrary to all the laws of physics, it allows you to go easier, rise higher, sprinkle to sprinkle at every step and so slowly feel in yourself the true state of freedom, which is the ability to carry a lot of different things, which you know and do not know and do not know how, but you really want to know and learn. And let this path be joyful. This is how education is happening!

Our certificate : the history of the school begins with the creation of a children's theater in 1981 - a satellite of the Moscow Theater of a young spectator , which became the basis of the state school “Class - Center” , opened in 1990 . The program “Class- Center ” “Theater as a system of humanitarian education” combines a common- like ( from 1st to 11th grades ) , musical ( including the jazz compartment ) and a dramatic school in a single educational space .
