The prefect of the Southeast Administrative District of Moscow Vladimir Zotov denied information about the construction of a mosque in the textile workers, against which mass protests of local residents have been underway since the fall of 2010, Interfax reports. On September 11, about 200 people took part in the protest against the construction of the mosque. Earlier, the inhabitants of the textileships asked for the Orthodox chapel to be built in the square, but they were refused.
