On July 1, a federal law comes into force, according to which all imported alcohol stronger than 15 degrees, imported into the Russian Federation with old excise stamps, must be withdrawn from sale. That’s why there is no wine or other exquisite joy in stores now. The Russian people are being soldered! They want us to drink only vodka. Tax officers will confiscate imported alcohol with the old excise tax from stores. Many sellers say, however, that “they won’t give it to their enemies” and will drink it all themselves. And they promised to return the confiscated goods by September 1st. Apparently, they hope that the new excise stamps will be ready by September.
