The Moscow prosecutor's office has decided to grant amnesty to Nodar Kancheli, accused in the case of the collapse of the roof of a water park in Moscow in February 2004. The architect was lucky enough to fall under the amnesty announced on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Russian State Duma, according to which criminal prosecution was canceled against persons accused under articles providing for imprisonment for up to five years, as well as against people over 60 years of age. Kancheli never admitted his guilt, but did not object to the amnesty either.
