Second: Iranian partners are ready to start negotiations. And the third: in the very near future, I hope the Iranian side will formulate its position on the timing of these negotiations. ”

I must say that nothing of the kind was said to Ahmadinejad at the beginning of the meeting. The Iranian president only said that "our positions are quite clear and close to each other." After that, Putin had to explain the position of Russia for a long time, which consists in the fact that Iran has the right to develop his nuclear programs, but "in such a way as to completely exclude any concern of the international community on the problem of non -proliferation." Whether the President of Iran agrees with this position remained unknown. It is also strange that with the participation of Akhmadinejad in the same meeting in Shanghai, Vladimir Putin took to voice his position. The Iranian himself spoke out almost a day later, saying that the proposals of the six would be studied and the answer to them would be given at the proper time.

It seems that Tehran intends to continue to pull the bagpipes, which with the help of Russia pulls the last year and a half. Iran may well graciously accept all the economic and political preferences that they promise him as a fee for refusing to enrich uranium. But at the same time to declare that the refusal of enrichment is unacceptable for him. Then the Russian president will be in the same position in which he was already six years ago, announcing the “eight” summit that the DPRK is ready to refuse to create missiles. And Kim Jong Ir said he joked.

At the same time, it should be recognized that Ahmadinejad learned a lot from his Russian colleague. Judging by what he said in Shanghai, the Iranian president liked the idea of ​​turning the country born in the Kremlin into an energy superpower. "Iran offers a meeting of the Energy Ministers of the SCO member countries to discuss issues of exploration, processing and transportation of energy carriers, as well as their joint operation. We declare the readiness of such a conference in his country," Iran president said in his speech at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. And at a meeting with Putin, he offered him a kind of gas Entente: “You and I can work closely in terms of both the definition of gas prices and the main flows in the interests of global stability.”
