United Russia will have to learn to negotiate with competitors and generally get used to the fact that its rivals will not be removed from the elections. According to the Vedomosti newspaper, the upcoming regional elections on October 11 will be held according to new unspoken rules: the oppositionists will not be disturbed, that is, they will not be removed from the elections at the registration stage on orders from above. According to a newspaper source close to the presidential administration, the following was said a formidable phrase: the one who removes the oppositionist will reinstate him. The reason for the appearance of such a line, according to the newspaper’s source in United Russia, is that the pro-Kremlin party was repeatedly defeated in the recent municipal elections: some rivals were removed, but all of them won not their own - it turned out that local residents still voted for someone not from the ruling party. So now United Russia members will learn to actually participate in elections for real, argue with opponents, influence voters with the power of words. True, Vadim Solovyov, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, sadly noted in a conversation with Vedomosti that the Central Election Commission had previously said a lot of good words about the equality of candidates, but local commissions still boldly pursued their line, so even now, according to Solovyov, we should not expect warming : they will shoot, as they did before. In addition, the newspaper reports that in some cases, opposition parties themselves meet the authorities halfway and remove their candidates - however, the only example given by the newspaper concerns the A Just Russia party, whose opposition, to put it mildly, is controversial .
