
During the protests in Hamburg, 76 police officers were injured on the eve of the G20 summit, Deutsche Welle reports .
According to the publication, on the night of the summit from July 6 to 7, the anti -Globalists planned the protest action “Welcome to Hell” (“Welcome to Hell”). The procession started at 22:00 local time (23:00 Moscow time), and the riots began almost immediately.
The police stopped the procession, trying to isolate radical people in masks from the crowd, as the law prohibits cover their face at public events. The newspaper clarifies that about a thousand people wore masks, and about 12 thousand people took part in the action.
The radicals began to throw policemen with smoke bombs and bottles, law enforcement officers used watering and tear gas. Soon after the start of the clashes, the organizers of the Welcome to Hell reported that the protest was completed. Further attempts to resume the procession ended again with clashes.

As of 3:50 Moscow time, the police report the normalization of the situation as a whole, noting certain violations of the law and order. In particular, unknown people continue to arrange fires in the city.
As a result of the incident, at least 76 policemen were injured, five of them were taken to the hospital, one was injured by the eye due to firecracker bursting nearby. The injured among demonstrators is not reported. Law enforcement officers detained several people.
The G20 summit will be held in Hamburg on July 7–8. On the first day, among other things, a double -sided meeting of the presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will be held .
