Chess on the blood
The next film by Alexei Pivovarov about the pre -war time, on the eve of the seventieth anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, at first caused conflicting sensations. On the one hand, the film "June 22. Fatal solutions" is quite thorough and objective. But for dedicated people there is almost nothing new in it. But for those who want to know the truth and understand what really happened, the most saturated television picture complicates the perception.
Too many are mixed: two leading on both sides-Russian and German and two actors, who read documents in Russian and German, two Russian historians who argue among themselves, actors, reconstructing events, through installation, numerous chronicle, eyewitnesses of events. It seemed that this is the very case when the form was unreasonably complicated for the sake of the author’s expression.
But by the middle of the film you get used to it and begin to navigate in this rather difficult, but harmonious structure of the film. A special, human context is made up of private stories against the background of large -scale historical events.
As for the topic itself, we are all trying to figure out whether Stalin’s mistakes or his brilliant leadership influenced the situation, what is the moral price of the supposedly “pragmatic decisions” and the like. The film does not focus on moral assessments, but also does not evade questions. It does not endure the final verdicts, leaving the audience-puerials to draw their conclusions and make independent decisions. But in the process of proceedings, it provides them with all the documentary base at their disposal. Although a little accelerated, as if flipping through the pages-such is the format of the film-we are reminded of both the Munich agreement, and the Soviet-German agreement on non-aggression, the division of Poland, the fall of France and the war with Finland. But this is all the preamble.
The authors are in a hurry to begin the clearly central theme of the film research-the preparation of the USSR of an offensive operation against Hitler. For a long time, assumptions about this were considered the notorious falsification. Here Viktor Suvorov suffered precisely for this. After all, no one argued that the USSR was preparing for war, but delayed it in every way. Prepared for war, but defensive. And here, on the basis of the above documents, the authors and experts make an unequivocal conclusion - the Soviet Union was preparing to attack Germany. I just did not have time.
The authors of the film represent the relationship between the USSR and Germany in the form of a double -building chess party. Both players - Stalin and Hitler - prefer offensive tactics. Not fully understanding and not accurately interpreting each other's moves, each of the rivals self -confidently considered himself a more skillful chess player. Or a deceiver. In the end, Hitler was ahead of Stalin for almost a month. He was in timekeeping, and his flag fell.
The question of the liability of the USSR for the outbreak of war hung in the film in the air. But he gave food for thought. Nevertheless, the film has a subtitle - “Fatal solutions”. So erroneous? This refers to the Pact about non -aggression with Germany, and its secret protocols, and preparation for the offensive against Germany, and miscalculations in determining the deadlines for Hitler’s attack.
And one more important aspect: judging by the film, from the German side, all the main documents related to this period of history have been studied, and the majority is still classified in our country. And this gives a great reason to doubt our impeccable desire to pursue an exceptional goal - to protect our country.
But the story ordered that it was we who became the victim of aggression. And they were forced to defend their country. This is the whole pathos of the Patriotic War. Stalin has nothing to do with it.
