While things are slowing down in Moscow, everything has already been decided in Grozny - the court hearing in the case of the film “The Innocence of Muslims,” which caused unrest around the world, in the Tverskoy Court of Moscow will take place only on October 1, and on September 28, the Leninsky District Court of Grozny was ahead of it and has already recognized the film extremist. The court upheld the claim of the Chechen Ministry of National Policy, Press and Information. Thus, regardless of the verdict of the Tver court, the film is already banned throughout the country.
A number of regional providers and mobile operators, without waiting for court decisions, began to block access to both the film posted online and the entire YouTube website. Roskomnadzor also called them to this. The court in Grozny decided to block access until its decision entered into legal force, that is, earlier than ten days from the decision: “Prior to the entry into force of the court decision in this civil case, take security measures in the form of suspending the distribution by any means of the video film “The Innocence of Muslims” “, previously posted on the VK.COM/video page of the video hosting “YOU Tube” on the Internet,” the Grozny Inform agency quotes the conclusion. It is worth noting the strange wording in the conclusion: vk.com is the address of the VKontakte social network, it is not directly related to the YouTube video hosting site. Moreover: the film “The Innocence of Muslims” has already been removed from VKontakte (but not yet from YouTube).
Later, however, the Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the matter may not be about recognizing the film as extremist, since only the prosecutor's office, and not the ministry, could send the corresponding request to the court, but only about interim measures to prevent the distribution of the film.
