In the fairy tales of different peoples, their soul and destiny are encoded. This rather banal truth is illustrated by how the global crisis affects social selection in different countries and geopolitical selection on the planet. Somewhere, the crisis plays to the advantage, acts as a forest orderly, rejecting the weak and ineffective, clearing the way for the strong. Somewhere... But it’s better to start over, that is, with fairy tales.
In the English fairy tale about the three little pigs, which became known to Soviet children thanks to Mikhalkov Sr., who thereby partially atoned for both anthems, the Anglo-Saxon logic of life is encoded. Three brother pigs are concerned about creating their own households. That is, only one was seriously concerned, who worked all summer and built a solid stone house with an oak door, stove heating and a good lock. The other two walked all summer, and then in a couple of hours they built two flimsy huts: one from straw, the other from branches. Then a wolf appeared. The houses made of straw and branches, naturally, flew apart, but the strong stone one stood and saved everyone.
The Protestant morality of the Anglo-Saxon world is as simple as an orange: Providence loves the skilled, the hardworking and the prudent. And since the world, despite all its multi-confessional and multi-polar nature, is built today according to this logic, it is precisely this logic that can be traced in the process of the triumphant march of the crisis across the planet. With the exception of sovereign territories, subject to a different logic of a different fabulous cultural code. But more on that a little later.

Now about the crisis. On the whole, on the planet, he behaves quite in the logic of the wolf from “The Three Little Pigs.” As a strict but fair judge, punishing different countries to varying degrees - in accordance with their economic and political sins.
Iceland received capital punishment for its obscenely bloated financial sector. The Baltic states, Hungary, Romania and other Eastern European countries are punished for the sin of exorbitant debts that are not backed by the potential of their national economies. Russia and Ukraine are for a raw material mono-economy, for the lack of modernization. Ukraine receives a separate fine for the political mess. Those who built their national economic and political houses from straw, soap bubbles and similar materials of little use for capital construction will not survive the crisis and will be forced, strictly according to the “Three Little Pigs” scenario, to seek help from the owners of capital national houses. Such sustainable houses were built by Germany, France, England, Scandinavian countries, the USA, and China. That is, the crisis in the world as a single system is beneficial: it hits everyone, especially severely punishing those who “wrongly” built their national homes.
In a territory that makes up one-seventh of the landmass, the reverse logic applies. Our destiny and the logic of our life, the system of social filters are encoded in the fairy tale about Emelya the Fool. And this national code is as simple as the Anglo-Saxon one. Only with the opposite sign. “For fools and idleness there is happiness.” In accordance with the monitoring of the crisis in the regions, which is carried out by the Ministry of Regional Development, the crisis hits the donor regions, those who are the locomotive of the country, the working regions, the hardest. The most acute situation is in the Samara region, Krasnoyarsk region, Tatarstan, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, and Vologda regions. The leader of stability is Ingushetia. This is a place where little was produced before the crisis except trouble. It will not be produced during a crisis. So as not to disturb stability.

The crisis in Russia, unlike the rest of the world, is “shorting” and contributes to the growth of social entropy. It stimulates not the working people, but those who live on subsidies, at the behest of the pike. This downward play of the crisis is also manifested in its impact on the social structure of society. The crisis hits society at the very heart - the middle class, the number of which, according to experts, will decrease several times during the crisis. Moreover, the structure of the middle class itself is degrading: it includes fewer and fewer entrepreneurs and specialists, and more and more officials.
Bearing the Russian way has another dimension. The crisis will inevitably lead to a new round of stupidity in the country. According to the World Bank, 200 thousand scientists have left Russia in recent years. About a million more stopped working in science and teaching at universities. These are several thousand modern “philosophical ships”. The crisis is launching a new batch of transport for the export of Russian brains, which are being squeezed out of the country by the logic of “success for Emelya”.
The country does not have the internal resources to change this logic.
