Turkey demanded that Germany begin criminal prosecution over a poem about Erdogan, a man with a homemade pistol was detained in the Moscow metro - and other discussed news this morning.

Budget 2016 without corrections

A source in the financial and economic bloc of the Russian government told reporters that the current federal law on the budget for 2016 will most likely remain unchanged until the fall.

Previously, it was planned to make significant amendments to it this spring, since the budget included an oil price of $50 per barrel.

Turkish note

The Turkish government sent a note to the German Foreign Ministry demanding that they begin criminal prosecution of TV presenter Jan Bemerman. At the end of March, he read an offensive poem about the Turkish president on ZDF TV.

The German government intends to “carefully and as soon as possible study the contents of the note” and then decide how to proceed.

Tiger cub in Primorye

Residents of Primorye, who saved a small orphaned tiger cub from dogs in December 2015, named the young predator Philippa. This name was chosen in honor of their village Filippovka during an open vote organized by the Land of the Leopard National Park, on the territory of which the tiger cub was found.

A criminal case was opened under Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal storage, transportation and carrying of firearms), and it turned out that the detainee had previously been convicted of a similar crime.
