Russia has another like-minded person on the issue of recognizing the independence of Abkhazia. The state of Tuvalu, located in Polynesia, joined Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Nauru. Thus, Abkhazia is ready to be recognized here, in some places in Latin America and in some places in the Pacific Ocean. In May, another Pacific state, Vanuatu, was about to recognize Abkhazia, but then the government changed in the country and the decision was canceled.
Meanwhile, back in 2010, Tuvalu showed itself to be an ally of Georgia, supporting the UN General Assembly resolution on the right of Georgian refugees to return to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. After this, Georgia provided financial assistance to the island state. And now such a demarche.
Tuvalu (yet?) has not recognized South Ossetia.
