If some naive person watched the last “analytical” programs of domestic television, then he would undoubtedly come to an unexpected conclusion. Namely: the Kremlin will reflect the economic crisis of military means. Judge for yourself. Telecumentors tell about how, due to the mistakes and miscalculations of the American regional committee, the world economic system collapsed (or is about to collapse) about how insidious and selfish Yankees withdraw money from Russian banks and refuse loans to our companies. And then the vigorous reports of the military on the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Stability-2008 Command and Stability-2008 at once, several successful launches of strategic missiles, including the launch of the Sineva Marine Rocket to a record range of eleven and a half thousand kilometers. The latter is clearly designed to demonstrate that our underwater missile carriers do not need to go into the combat patrol areas - we will get any area in the United States directly from the base. And the president, communicating with the military, says: “Now the planet is a very difficult economic situation. They will also use this in order to weaken us, and in order to seek from us some decisions unacceptable in economic content. We will not bend ”we will not” that we will answer our “blue” to their crisis. And frightened Americans, obviously, do not dare to withdraw money from Russia.

If we speak seriously, then we observe a strange bifurcation of the consciousness of the military-political leadership. On the one hand, we conduct unprecedented in terms of scale of exercises, which are a rehearsal of war with a global enemy, that is, with the United States. On the other hand, we blame them for our economic difficulties.

In fairness, I note that strategic maneuvers with a similar scenario have been held with us annually since 1999, that is, from the time of the NATO operation against Yugoslavia, which has made a strong impression on the domestic generals. Approximately at the same time, in our doctrinal documents there was a provision that Russia in emergency circumstances reserves the right to use nuclear weapons of the first. The script of the exercises clearly followed this concept. It was assumed that our country is subjected to large -scale aggression by the enemy, whose general -purpose forces surpass the Russian ones. Once unable to stop aggression with non -nuclear means, Moscow first inflicts a demonstration nuclear blow to the sparsely populated areas of the “probable enemy”. Although the enemy was never called, strategic aviation bombers every time reached the so -called “Faroe border”, imitating the blow to the cruise missiles in America. But this does not stop the aggressor, and then our strategists were going to strike with strategic weapons. What was portrayed by a single launch of the sea or ground rocket. After which nothing was planned, since the end of the world had to come as a result. I must say that these military games as a whole were positively perceived in the United States. It was obvious to ours, as they like to say in the General Staff, the “counter -partners” that at all stages of the conflict, Russia would strive for its de -escalation.

And this time, as far as one can judge, the script has not changed. The scale has just grown significantly. If in previous years the number of participants did not exceed 10-12 thousand military personnel, then 47 thousand participated in “Stability-2008”. As part of the maneuvers, several divisions were carried out. Moreover, one tank connection was equipped with reservists, after which the 20th echelons were transferred to the area of ​​exercises. For the first time, the exercises of the special purpose command (air defense forces covering the Moscow region) were bilateral. That is, the whole connection of the Air Force played for the enemy conducting the aerospace operation. Finally, instead of a single start -up, our “strategists” arranged a real salute with ballistic missiles.

And here, I'm afraid, the amount can develop into quality. The desire to show our west by the West by the day, but by the clock, Kuzkin’s mother led to several strange results. If the truth is that Russia has grown the power of ordinary forces, then why is it not the task of stopping the aggressor in the early stages of the conflict? If they are able to solve such a problem, then the nuclear blow does not look return.

At the same time, being on the exercises, the Supreme Commander -in -Chief stubbornly said that all this is only the beginning, that he has already approved the “updated parameters of the Armed Forces”. And these parameters should include the launch of new weapons programs. The construction of new atomic submarines is promised, the creation of unprecedented aerospace defense. And in addition, the Ministry of Defense is ordered to prepare the program "on the revival of the all -a -Aviac components." I note that for this revival, it is necessary to build production capacities for this revival - Soviet aircraft carriers were built in Ukraine in Nikolaev. So only this program pulls $ 5-6 billion.

And here the question arises from which, in fact, funds are supposed to finance the increased Russian military ambitions. If you can say something good about Vladimir Putin’s military policy, it is that, despite the warlike rhetoric of recent years, military expenses were in a very strict framework. Officially - 2.5 - 2.7 percent of GDP (some economists believe that in fact about 4 percent). Yes, military spending grew quite quickly, but at the same time with the growth of GDP. Now it is clear that this growth will either slow down sharply or stop completely. How can everything be promised in this situation - and new weapons, and a quick solution to the apartment issue, as well as other social problems. If Medvedev gives promises, knowing firmly that he will not fulfill them, this can still be experienced. But if in the conditions of a falling economy, Russia will indulge in its militaristic ambitions-this returns us to the situation of 1989-1990. Then, in a situation where the economy was cracking at the seams, giant amounts were allocated to the military-industrial complex. Which accelerated the collapse of the USSR.

And the last. It becomes quite obvious that, buying our oil, the West finances the production of weapons on it and aimed. With all the consequences that arise from this fact. So the current sweet demonstration of military power against the backdrop of the financial crisis may well be the last parade.
