New Russian symbolism

It has long been known that sometimes symbols are perceived no less, or even more acutely than meanings. In Russia, this sometimes manifests itself stronger than in other places. What are at least many years of debate about the fate of the body of Lenin and the monument to Dzerzhinsky - and, it would seem, how many more urgent problems exist. Take, for example, the issue of the consistency of the actions of various structures of the Russian authorities. Including when she tries to create new meanings, which V. Surkov constantly calls for, or at least just symbols.

Going from words to deed, the creator of the Kremlin meanings here recently indicated not just a symbol, but a directly embodied criterion of successfully functioning democracy. F.D. Roosevelt, the criterion is his policy. Giving tribute to the great American leader, I am not his hot fan, so I am not going to analyze the Allusions of Surkov, Pavlovsky, etc. on the topic of Roosevelt and Putin. Moreover, the main, in my opinion, the symbol came, from where they did not expect at all.

From the department of Zurabov. According to press reports, they compiled a list of diseases with which people cannot enter the public service. The list has more than 70 points, including such, unfortunately, diseases such as diabetes today. I have not seen the list itself, so I don’t know how many positions can not be accepted today in Russia for the civil servant of a wheelchair Roosevelt. This is the symbol of the mismatch of meanings in two famous bureaucrats.

The list, of course, can be adjusted. Including so that Roosevelt can be hired by some department, and Beethoven in any of the presidential orchestras. But the symbol has already appeared. And not one.

The blockout in Sochi was extremely symbolic. It was in those days when the application of the city-the applicant for the Winter Olympiad-2014, entered Switzerland, in this very city there was no light, heat, the airport stopped working, etc. The Olympics, I recall, is the winter, and from May to September in Sochi it is unlikely to be held. But it seems to me that the main symbol was born a little later, when a certain official stated that what happened would not affect Sochi’s chances to receive an Olympics.

Guess why? Clearly, not because the accident managed to quickly eliminate. And not because by the winter of 2013-14, the problem of energy supply to Sochi will be resolved. And because the possibility of such an application suppliers warned the International Olympic Committee in advance. If this is true, then nothing really can influence our chances. Obviously, having been in winter without heat and light, in the actual transport blockade, tens of thousands of athletes, coaches, arbitrators, tourists, etc. will feel easy and comfortable, because they were warned in advance about everything. Immediately I recall an old joke about the head of the prison, who loved to say: “Of course, we have very bad, but we don’t invite anyone to ourselves.” I really hope that this symbol will not turn into reality. It would be even better if it turned out that the speaker simply unsuccessfully formulated his thought. But the symbol of the fact that not only you and me, but also members of the IOC are mistaken for idiots, turned out to be simply luxurious.

In general, from this sport in recent days, sheer troubles. And especially from football, and all from Holland. It is not enough for us 1: 4 from their national team, they are still trying to make us again look for a coach for ours. Yes, and with what vile horsing! In addition to the fact that their Dutch court threatens our Hiddinka with a prison, he was also accused of non -payment of taxes. For the sake of boring bullying, it remains only to bring a second charge - in washing and legalization. Then the circle will become isolated, and the beloved coach will be indistinguishable from the hated oligarch. And then, Hiddinka, his lawyers, began to suddenly admit the guilt of his client. Either the HUS did not pay taxes, or maybe the lawyers learned how they treat their colleagues in Russia, and decided not to tempt fate. The symbol, of course, turned out to be a little bulky, but the tragedy clearly moved to the farce.

Of course, the highest leadership did not stand aside. As part of the visit of President Putin to Saudi Arabia, the head of Russian Railways and part -time, one of the candidates for successors V. Yakunin publicly analyzed the contract proposed by Russia with a company, the name of which in itself - the symbol has nowhere better. The company is called simply and modestly - “Ben Laden”. And no coincidences and namesakes are the same one of this family company. It is a pity that during the visit they did not have time to sign. After Putin’s Munich speech, that is, the symbol, it turned out. Well, I hope they will still sign it. Imagine - the Putin - Ben Ladan contract? Such a symbol give an abyss is simply a sin.

Unfortunately, all this is taken together and much more, similar, is no longer a symbol. This is all our reality. And, as it became clear back in 1980, you can’t change any Olympics.
