Thinning behind bars

Former Belarusian presidential candidate Dmitry Uss was pardoned by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and released. Uss was sentenced to five and a half years in prison. He himself did not apply for pardon.

The coordinator of the civil campaign "European Belarus", Sannikov's confidant Dmitry Bondarenko (he was sentenced to two years) and former presidential candidates Andrei Sannikov (five years) and Nikolai Statkevich (six years) remain in prison.
