More than 4,000 books and reports are now available in PDF format on the National Academies Press website.
Beginning June 2, 2011, PDF reports of the four National Academies previously sold on the National Academies Press website, as well as PDFs related to future reports, will be made available free of charge to all visitors. website ( www.nap.edu ).
The innovation concerns reports prepared by the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine and the National Research Council.
