Dmitry Lvovich Bykov is the brightest phenomenon of Russian culture. To be his contemporary, to monitor the development of his work, so to speak, in real time - great luck. It is difficult to navigate it. The poet, prose writer, critic, teacher, lecturer, encyclopedist, brilliant wit. And the artist, of course. I am sincerely proud of a good partnership with him. Professor of Chicago University, a well -known economist and publicist Konstantin Sonin, considers Bykov to be modern Pushkin. And justification for this statement gives quite convincing. Everyone can get acquainted with them on his Facebook page. But, as you know, "an empty heart beats evenly, a gun did not flinch in his hand." True, in our case there were a lot of “empty hearts”, and the murder gun was more likely than a pistol. In other words, the Russian authorities once decided to kill Dmitry Bykov. And it would have killed, of course, but Bykov survived. Just like Navalny. This analogy lies on the surface.
The investigation of the Indusie and the journalistic group Bellingcat, which was published in the past Wednesday, detailed, meticulous and extremely convincing. In fact, this is a ready -made indictment. Upon acquaintance with him, there is no doubt for a sane adequate person - in the spring of 2019, a group consisting of representatives of Russian power law enforcement agencies made an attempt on the life of Dmitry Bykov. Apparently, they tried to poison him with combat neuro-paralytic substance, such as a "beginner". And events developed exactly, as in the case of Alexei Navalny - constant surveillance, poisoners pursuing throughout the country, a hotel, a plane, a sharp deterioration in the condition on board, coma. However, the dose of poison to the writer Bykov, apparently, got a lesser than Navalny’s policy, he stayed in a coma for only a few days.
It should be noted that Dmitry Bykov immediately began to say that he was poisoned. The cultural community was neatly laughed at him. Say, dear Dima, the authorities have more important tasks than poisoning local writers. Even such outstanding as you. But in fact it turned out that in reality there are no more important things. In the case of the attempt by Dmitry Bykov, an important circumstances became clear - now the political regime, which is now ruling in Russia, kills for words. Both Alexei Navalny and Vladimir Kara-Murza, of course, have a lot of things to say, wrote and hung up in recent years. But they are both-direct political opponents of the regime, which aimed at their life to replace it with some more suitable for Russia. Nobody ever called Dmitry Bykov a politician. Of course, during the period of public recovery in 2011-2012, Dmitry Lvovich behaved very actively and even entered the coordination council of the opposition, but these were all fragments of his stormy and rich life.
After the publication of a scandalous investigation, assumptions about the reasons why the Russian authorities decided to get rid of a seditious writer, rained down like Lukoshka. Many commentators believe that the case in his texts to the satirical project “Citizen Poet”, with whom, by the way, he, the project, toured almost throughout the country. Others are confident that in this case we are dealing with a certain training process, during which the master of the master from the famous office produced skills, experimented with doses, gained statistical data. I am sure that the whole thing is in an uncomplicated short text. At one of the rallies in 2012, Dmitry Bykov went out with a poster on which it was written "Do not rock the boat - our rat is sick." And in the corner of the poster, the boat was drawn, and, in fact, the rat itself, which is sick.
Honestly, I think that Boris Nemtsov was killed in just one phrase, uttered in an interview with a Ukrainian journalist. This is what the current Russian government, led by Vladimir Putin, cannot endure. And they kill not only when they feel the threat of their endless shameful rule, but also in cases where they begin to laugh at them, try to humiliate them, insult, destroy sacredness in the eyes of the subordinate population. Especially when it comes to the leader’s leader directly.
What will be a public answer to this villainy? Well, for now, most likely, no. But crimes of this kind of deadlines have no statute of limitations.
