Alexandra Evgenievna Putrya (1977-1989) was born in Poltava (Ukrainian SSR) in an intelligent family: her father Evgeny Vasilievich was an artist, mother Victoria Leonidovna-a conductor-chormister who taught at a music school. Since three years, the girl held a pencil and a brush well in her hands and painted without ceasing.

In one of the rooms of their 2-room apartment, the father made an art workshop in which he set up two tables-himself and Sasha. Father and daughter drew everyone at their table. As an artist Sasha was formed independently - attempts by her father to teach her according to the academic program: sketches, still lifes, etc. - They came across, according to his memories, on a delicate, but firm refusal.

In 1983, five -year -old Sasha found acute lymphoblastic leukemia, after which she began to spend most of her time in hospitals, she had to leave the school.

The girl fought for life for six years. He died on January 24, 1989.

Sasha lived only 11 years, 1 month and 21 days, but left a huge creative heritage: more than two thousand arts - 46 albums with drawings, cartoons and poems, chasing, embroideries, plasticine crafts, soft toys, beads and multi -colored pebbles and wood burning. The themes of her drawings were fabulous plots, the world of animals and space.

Two exhibitions of her works took place during the life of Sasha. From 1989 to 2005, 112 of her personal exhibitions took place in 10 countries, after the death of a little artist.

Five documentary films were shot about Sasha, the documentary story “Sasha Putel” was released. A memorial plaque was installed on the wall of the kindergarten where it was brought up. Sasha learned to wear Sari, the art of Indian makeup suffered, sang Indian songs from records.

1989 Sasha and her friend Oksana were met in Indian national costumes that they sewed themselves. They even made bracelets on their own. On January 22, Sasha drew her last drawing - a self -portrait in Sari. Two days later, she died. She was buried in the same Indian sari.
