Dmitry Astrakhan (63 years old) was born in the family of Leningrad historians, immigrants from Belarus - Hanan Markovich Astrakhan and Susanna Markovna Manevich. He was the youngest, fifth child in the family. At school, he was fond of reading, mathematics and sports. After graduating from the eighth grade, he entered the physical and mathematical school No. 30 on Vasilyevsky Island, continued to engage in classical struggle. After graduation, he was admitted to the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute named after Ulyanov.
