On December 4, the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, presented Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev “First Russian Smartphone” - Yotaphone with two screens. Medvedev noticed that "Apple tensed." This news was shown on all channels.
And here is another news that ITAR-TASS published on January 24 and which for some reason was not shown on all channels. Since the presentation of the Yotaphone “Svyaznoy” and “Euroset”, each of the apparatus each, a total of 600-700 pieces, have been able to sell. Let me remind you that during the first three days of sales of iPhone 5S and 5C, more than 9 million have been sold, and in total, over 90 million units have been sold today. That is, in three days, Apple sold 15 thousand times more devices than Yotaphone in two months.
True, there is also the company Yota Devices, which claims that through the Internet it sold about 10 thousand devices. It is very difficult for me to believe it. The fact is that these two months I went to the Yota Devices website once a week, where I was informed that it was impossible to order a device because all orders are exhausted, and the receiving orders will resume as soon as the devices appear again. Then, apparently, someone prompted the company that it looks funny, and the text changed to another: the volume of orders is very large, leave a request, they will contact you.
But the most amazing thing in the story with Yotaphone is not this. It is quite easy to find out that the same “first Russian smartphone” for the first time showed the same Dmitry Medvedev himself, only to the president, in September 2010. Chemezov then (note, in 2010) said that the release of smartphones will first begin in Taiwan, but then he will certainly be transferred to Russia. Then Yotaphone competed with the third iPhone. Now he is competing with the 5th, but, according to Medvedev, Apple still tensed.
After that, a unique domestic IPONOM fighter has been presented more than once. For example, on December 12, 2012, Vladislav Martynov, the general director of Yota Devices, which (pay attention) has already developed Yotaphone instead of Chemezov, again said that the company had completed the development of the first Russian smartphone. And in April 2013, Yota Devices said that in May this year, it intends to transfer a set of funds for the development of Yotaphone.
But the most important thing is what. Yotaphone is developed by the private company Yota Devices. Question: Why is the products of a private company the head of Rostec Sergei Chemezov and what company is related to the state?
On the website of Yota Devices it is written that the site Under Construction. This inscription has been hanging there for two months. For two months, the company, from which Apple tensed, cannot develop its site!
Nevertheless, despite the fact that the site is still not there, it is easy to find out that the owners of Yota Devices are Telecominvest Holdings (these are Usmanov), Teliasonera and private individuals. Question: Why does this present Chemezov?
We are going on. When in February 2013 the Kommersant correspondent asked Mr. Martynov, the general director of the company, the question of how much the Yotaphone project is worth, Martynov replied : “There is no exact figure. We will recognize it at the end of the year when sales begin. ”
Those. The journalist asks about an uncle in Kyiv (how much did you cost you a development?), And Mr. Martynov answers Buzina in the garden (we do not know how much the retail price will be). But then the journalist continues: "Who has provided the company for development?" And Mr. Martynov replies that investments are provided by shareholders and does not call who.
One second, guys, do you understand something? There is Yota Devices, which says: “I am a private company. How much money and where did I get from, I will not say. ” But its products are presented by the head of the state corporation of Cheyzov. Question: If this is private investment, then what does Chemezov have to do with it? If this is state money, then you can find out:
a) for what feature state departments are spent on a completely market, supposedly product;
b) how many are they spent?
But this is not all, because, as I said, the first time we heard about this slaughter competitor of the iPhone in 2010. But Yota Devices has left Yota Group and became a separate organization with private capital in December 2011.
Did you understand something? Mr. Martynov at Kommersant informs us that the shareholders of the company, founded in 2011, developed a device at their own expense, which Cheyzov presented back in 2010. So Chemezov has been developing a phone since 2010 or Martynov has been developing the same phone since 2011?
In the fall of 2010, Chemezov, that is, Rostekhnology, really owned 25% of Skartel, which owned the Yota brand. But, as mentioned above, in December 2010, Yota Devices left Yota, and now its shareholders are private individuals - Teliasonera and Telecominvest. Secondly, the Scartel itself was 100% sold to Megafon.
Question: What is the relationship of Chemezov to this now? If Rostec investing state money in a private company, then why do the fruits of her work do not belong to Rostec? If it does not invest, then why the news about Yotaphone periodically find themselves on their website (“Medvedev:“ Yotaphone is safer than the iPhone ”,“ Yotaphone - a new revolutionary device ”, etc.)
It seems to me that this is the first question that Prime Minister Medvedev was supposed to ask. But, alas, he only said that "Apple tensed." Interestingly, he himself is not disgusting?
