United Russia has come up with another initiative aimed at immediately and completely tightening the screws. This time the hands of the glorious party members came to the long-suffering issue of a referendum. What the opposition fought for for so many years has now decided to finally bury. The amendments introduced by United Russia and adopted on October 11 by the State Duma in the first reading actually mean that not a single issue existing in the world can be submitted to a referendum. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation does not intend to put up with this state of affairs. Not hoping for a second and third reading in the State Duma, Secretary of the Party Central Committee Oleg Kulikov said that if the law is adopted, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation intends to appeal it in the Constitutional Court.
