In Chechnya in January 2002, a special forces reconnaissance group under the command of Captain Eduard Ulman fired at a UAZ, the driver of which did not respond to an order to stop. After this, according to the defendants, they received orders to shoot witnesses to the incident. The jury has already twice rendered an acquittal in this case, which was then overturned by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. Today the Supreme Court decided that for the third time the “Ullman case” will be considered by professional judges.
