The Assembly includes representatives of the Constantinople, Antioch, Moscow, Serbian and Romanian Patriarchates under the leadership of Constantinople. As stated in a statement by the clergy and laity of the French deanery of the Korsun diocese, recently “centralism tendencies have emerged” within the Assembly. Attempts to “block initiatives” of the Russian Orthodox Church in France continue, especially when it comes to cooperation with the Roman Catholic Church. In addition, at the instigation of the APEF, “a negative image of the Russian Orthodox Church is being imposed,” and “unfriendly statements are made towards the Russian Orthodox Church and its hierarchy.”
