According to DECR employee Rev. Nikolai Balashov, basic data about such priests was collected. It’s worse with priests who are banned from serving. However, the study of personal files shows that in most cases there is also the possibility of revising their canonical status. But parishes that were opened by foreigners in Russia without approval will have to return to the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church. For this purpose, a 5-year transition period is provided, during which the order of management of the former “foreign” communities will retain some features.
