Amazing things are happening: the state prosecutor in the case of the Other Russia activist from Smolensk, Taisiya Osipova, Diana Kudinova, considered the sentence imposed on the accused to be too harsh. Let us remind you that the prosecutor asked to sentence Osipova to four years in prison for alleged drug trafficking, and judge Igor Kozhevnikov sentenced her to eight years. Kudinova insists that the court did not take into account all the circumstances of the case, and demands to partially cancel it and again (for the second time) send the case for a new trial. Previously, the verdict was appealed by the defense, which insists on Osipova’s innocence.
Let us remember that one of the witnesses stated at the trial that the drugs were planted by Osipova during the search. The court did not take into account either this, or the fact that Osipova is seriously ill, or the fact that she has a small child.
