The death of the general

General Evgeny Zinichev died the death of the hero. Without hesitation for a minute, he rushed to save the director and operator Alexander Melnik, who stumbled on wet stones near the picturesque waterfall near Norilsk. The president of the country had every reason to assign the title of Hero of Russia to the general. The death of Evgeny Zinichev Emergency Minister, which happened, according to the official message of the Ministry of Emergencies, “in the performance of official duty ... in Norilsk on interagency exercises to protect the Arctic zone from emergency situations” means the failure of these maneuvers. The meaning of these teachings was, attention, to work out methods of saving people during the elimination of the spill of oil products, in an accident on a passenger vessel, an emergency landing of the aircraft and extinguishing a natural fire. All this loses its meaning if a civilian is dying during such teachings. And they lose their meaning completely if the first to save him was the Minister of Emergencies. It is no coincidence that all the official newcomers, like the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, insist that Zinichev "acted not as a big boss, not as a minister, but as a real lifeguard." The very fact of the death of two people during the exercises of rescuers means that one of the people appointed by Minister Zinichev (I don’t know who this is: the security chief who did not provide personal security, the pleasing assistant who offered to fly on a tour of the reserve), simply neglected the most important official duties. The incident in the Putoran reserve, in fact, is no different from the fire in the “winter cherry”, which revealed a whole bouquet of violations and abuse, as a result of which Zinichev's predecessor was fired as the head of the rescue department.

“For me, this is an irreparable personal loss,” the chief chief of the country quite sincerely wrote in his telegram. Apparently, Zinichev, a security officer who had served Putin’s adjutant for many years, was indeed close to the head of state. And at the same time he remained a completely decent and decent person. For two months he stayed as the acting governor of the Kaliningrad region, he himself realized that this position did not correspond at all, he himself asked the president to dismiss him. The media reported that the matter here is not only in organic inability to communicate with the press (the only briefing conducted by Zinichev lasted 49 seconds). They say that the general told Putin: one cannot help but lie in this position, and he as an officer is deeply disgusted.

And in connection with his tragic death, one of Simonov was remembered by one of the most piercing episodes of the “living and dead”, where General Kozyrev curses his rapid elevation before his death: “... he did not know how to command anyone except himself, and became essentially remaining an senior lieutenant. This was confirmed from the very first day of the war in the most terrible way, and not only with him alone. The reason for such lightning -fast elevations as him was impeccable courage and blood earned orders. But the general stars did not bring him the ability to command thousands of people and hundreds of aircraft. ”

It is more or less obvious that Evgenia Zinicheva moved to the Great General Stars, anything, but not organizational abilities, which should be put at the forefront when appointed to this position. As a minister, he personally heroically rushed to rake the consequences of another disaster. He met his heroic death, doing what he knew and studied, the bodyguard reflex worked, and Zinichev rushed to save the man who found himself in trouble. But, as far as one can understand, his main innovation in the ministerial position was the creation of the Office of his own security. If we keep in mind that the fire department inspector became in Russian folklore the figure as epic as the traffic cop, the measure, maybe the necessary. But completely insignificant, if we recall the nature of the challenge with which the Ministry of Emergencies has encountered in recent years. The department that Zinichev had to lead was unable to foresee that the country was facing a series of disasters caused by global climate changes. It was obviously not ready for incidents like a giant oil spill that happened in Norilsk a year ago. It could not cope with unprecedented fires in Yakutia that occurred this year. As a matter of fact, the exercises that Zinichev conducted in the Arctic was the first attempt to understand what measures are needed in this situation. And they ended in the death of the minister ...
