The Moscow City Duma will announce the beginning of the campaign for the mayor of the capital after a couple of weeks, and political parties are still determined with candidates.

So far, the most striking event has been arranged by the Party of the Apple. Despite the fact that the long -term leader of the capital's branch, Sergei Mitrokhin, has long announced his desire to participate in the elections, the federal party leadership was insisted on holding primaries - all the more so since Mitrokhin’s positions in the metropolitan department were not as strong as before, after Maxim Katz entered the Yabloko and called on his supporters.

As a result, 21 people were expressed from Yabloko to go to mayor, the debate was held between them, on which Mitrokhin could not even reach the finals. The first place was taken by the head of the Tver municipal district, Yakov Yakubovich, in second place - his colleague from Yakimanka Andrei Morev, and in third place - an employee of the City Projects of Ilya Varlamov and Maxim Katz Daria Besedina.

Voting on the primaries ends on Tuesday evening, you can even follow it live. Electors are not only members of the capital’s department of the party, but also those who supported Yabloko or its candidates financially, as well as members of the election commissions from Yabloko. If the obvious winner is not determined, the second round will take place.

“Yabloko”, although it is the strongest liberal party in the city, does not represent the entire flank. Ilya Yashin, the head of the Krasnoselsky municipal district, and Dmitry Gudkov, a former State Duma deputy, who, together with Maxim Katsu, became one of the architects of the success of opposition in the municipal elections, also gathered in mayors.

Dmitry Gudkov was now in an unpleasant position, since Ksenia Sobchak, with whom he was going to build a party, actually supported Sergei Sobyanin. With Ilya Yashin, who recorded a whole video image for Gukov, also has not yet been able to find a common language.

Note that now “professional bloggers”, as well as musicians, actors and TV presenters on Instagram, are starting to write suspiciously many of the same type of posts in support of Sergei Sobyanin. So Ksenia Sobchak is not alone here.

Meanwhile, the metropolitan branch of the Communist Party is going to nominate a candidate for mayor on June 7, at the conference of the city committee. About this on Tuesday writes "Kommersant". Earlier, the then leader of the Communist Party faction in the Moscow City Duma, Andrei Klychkov, was going to go to the mayors, but he was appointed the governor of the Oryol region in the fall and, thus, dropped out of the race. The discussion of candidates in the process in the Communist Party, as the publication writes, revealed conflicts inside the department.

The head of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov personally already said that the best would be the candidacy of Vadim Kumin, a former deputy of the Moscow City Duma and State Duma, as well as, as they say, one of the main sponsors of the capital's department of the party. But the metropolitan communists with the participation of the Left Front movement (it also participated in Pavel Grudinin’s nomination to the presidency) conducted an Internet voting, the winner of which was the deputy of the Moscow City Duma Elena Shuvalova.

The Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice is also going to nominate its candidate. This was stated by RIA Novosti by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the Party, the head of the Committee on Entrepreneurship in the field of housing and communal services of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Andrei Shirokov. Earlier, he already said that the party plans to nominate his candidacy to the election of the Moscow Mayor.

It should be noted that, according to prevailing, Muscovites are now not supporting opposition candidates. On the other hand, only 34% of those who said the desire to participate in the elections are going to vote for Sobyanin, as the Levada survey shows, so his competitors clearly have potential for growth.
