For the third time, the authors of the Biomolecule website are holding a competition for the best popular science article about the achievements of modern biology - molecular biology, biophysics, biomedicine, bio- and nanotechnologies. TrV-Nauka No. 13 (132) dated July 2, 2013:
In the article “Blitzkrieg” (pp. 1-2), Vyacheslav Nikonov is named chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science. In fact, he is the chairman of the education committee.
The article “On the Other Hand” (pp. 4-5) should have had a caption stating that the photograph was taken by Vera Kochina. We apologize to the readers and V. Kochina.
In the same article, the abbreviation HR is deciphered as “human relations”. In fact, this is “human resources” - an employee of the personnel department.
In the article “Pseudoscience in the modern world: media sphere, higher education, school” (p. 10) it was erroneously stated that the conference was held in the building of the Faculty of Biology and Soil Sciences of St. Petersburg State University. In fact, it was carried out with the official organizational support of the Faculty of Biology and Soil Sciences, but in the building of the Faculty of Physics. The author apologizes.
