In TrV-Nauka No. 305 dated May 19, 2020, several materials on the same topic were published (the main one by A. Abalkina, A. Zayakin and A. Rostovtsev - and two responses to it - by A. Ivanchik and O. Bogomolova). As reported in the “summaries” to them, there is a discussion on methods for assessing the productivity of scientific organizations. It seems to me that there is no subject for discussion here - both are right. However, all this discussion takes place within the framework of a choice between bad and very bad - and therefore unsatisfactory.
