“Toples-Atak” Femen activists on Vladimir Putin and Angel Merkel, which they performed at the industrial fair in Hanover, may well be considered the peak of their provocative “career”. Before that, the girls managed to demonstrate the bust of Silvio Berlusconi, after his resignation, Patriarch Kirill and even Pope Roman on St. Peter's Square (it is not known, however, whether the “sextremist” was the elderly pontiff).
But now they were taken by surprise at once two acting leaders of the Great Eight countries, which can already be called undoubted success. In addition, this time, the girls managed to get as close as possible to the “object of criticism”. Strong guys in the same black jackets stopped one of the activists literally a step away from the cherished goal. They stopped, however, not without problems, but these are already details. It is not entirely clear, by the way, that the young lady would have to do if she had nevertheless reached Vladimir Vladimirovich: judging by the decisive pose in the video, she was going to hug either the Russian president.
Germany law enforcement agencies have opened criminal The case under Article 103 of the German Criminal Code is “insulting a representative of the authorities and a representative of a foreign state”. However, problems with the law for Femen participants should become a familiar phenomenon. In many countries where activists show themselves, their actions are qualified as hooliganism, and this turns out for them with fines or short -term arrests.
Femen attack. Photo: Femen.orgThe outrageous of calm for the fifth year has been protesting for a variety of occasions. One of the first Femen shares , which the press drew attention to, was held in Kiev in July 2008. The reason for the discontent of the activists was “sex tourism”, which, according to girls, leads to a violation of the rights of Ukrainian women forcibly involved in prostitution classes. It is worth noting that during the first actions in Ukraine they did without their “business card”, speaking dressed.
But the geography of the presence of movement was constantly expanding, and with it the shocking of the form of protest grew. Activist achieved genuine international fame in the fall of 2011. In Paris, changing clothes in the maids, they held a rally at the residence of the former head of the IMF Dominic Stross-Kan. And a month later they arrived in Rome, where two promotions were held at once - for the resignation of Silvio Berlusconi and against the "discrimination of women by the Catholic Church."
The popularity of girls grew from a performance to a performance. Without a doubt, the Ukrainian movement managed to again draw the attention of Europeans to nakedness as a “symbol of freedom”. Moreover, these ideas roam modern Europe for more than a century, and judging by the photographs that appeared on the Web a couple of weeks ago, even an angel Merkel shared them in their youth .
In December 2011, after the campaign against the policy of Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk, a well -known incident occurred with the “abduction” of the participants in the movement. But despite what, they returned from Belarus with beaten and stained green, this case did not cool their ardor at all, and, in addition, attracted increased attention of the press.
In 2012, Femen events poured from a cornucopia: Paris, London, Stockholm, Brussels, Rio de Janeiro. Particular attention was attracted by protests dedicated to the trial of participants in another shocking female group - Pussy Riot. Initially, Femen was offered to participants in the Russian punk collection to come to Ukraine and get political asylum here. But after Ukrainians during one From the shares in Kyiv, a cross over the Small of Nemism was cut off, they themselves chose to move to Paris, where they opened the “training center” for activists from different countries.
The reasonable question of what means are rebelled by Femen, traveling around Europe, has no unequivocal answer yet. The press appeared in the press, allegedly sponsoring the organization, and the journalist of the Ukrainian television channel “1+1”, who was recorded for some time in the ranks of the movement, said that the approximate cost of the costs of training each action, including the transport and food of girls, is about a thousand euros for each participant. This is significantly more than the average Salarian salary. Approximately the same amount of the fees for performances, and the most famous girls - the faces - receive even more.
It is problematic to calculate the total costs, since it is difficult to assess the total number of movement: Femen (at least their unusual form of protest) support hundreds of activists in different countries, and they, apparently, do this on a voluntary basis.
Nevertheless, the content of the “backbone” of the organization, which is led by Anna Gutsol, is certainly worth a lot of money, and income from the online store of souvenirs (mugs and t-shirts with traffic logos) is unlikely to compensate for costs.
Femen slogans are eclectic and can hardly help determine people whose interests can represent. Following the information agenda of the day, the girls showed increased attention to the European Football Championship, and to the presidential election in Russia, and to the Pussy Riot case, and to women's rights in Islamic countries.
But speaking of the sources of income of the organization, it is worth remembering that the head of Femen is the daughter of Mikhail Gutsol, the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada. The Ukrainian press calls him a “PR man” and “political strategist”, who collaborated with the local oligarch, Vadim Rabinovich - “Ukrainian Berezovsky”. Anna Gutsol also has experience working with political organizations . Bloggers have already reported that at the dawn of foggy youth she managed to work with a variety of Ukrainian parties, until she finally took up the “female movement” in 2008 . These facts of biography and family ties give rise to suspicions that Rabinovich can be involved in financing Femen .
Against this background, inconsistency in social and political slogans, which the press initially tried to write off on the tradition of the “total protest” of feminism, “ third wave ” initially tried. At the present time, Femen gives the impression of an organization that is trying to attract attention more to the fact of its existence than to the social problems that girls write about on posters and their bodies. In this, even supporters of the ideology of Feinism who criticize the tactics of Ukrainian activists reproach them.
The prospect of any “commercial success” Femen , which is often said about the latter, is very doubtful. Of course, popularity is converted into money much easier than any other fact of social reality. But it is difficult to imagine the specific methods that this organization can resort to in order to "go to self -sufficiency."
On the other hand, do not forget that an attempt to make the movement “international” is still being carried out very successfully. And this is an occasion to think about what political dividends can bring large organizations of desperate women who, by their behavior, bring even harsh law enforcement officials.
No one will undertake to predict the results of a protest campaign, which will gather several thousand “toples-activists” from different countries. The noise in the press and the attention of the company is guaranteed. And the dispersal of such a demonstration using rubber batons will certainly become an ethical problem even in Moscow or Kyiv, not to mention European countries. At least in the current realities, when the street has become an instrument of political struggle, this option also should not be discounted.
