Two mayors - two examples

Finally, in the endless Santa Barbara of Ukrainian politics, turning events took place: on March 18, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine after a long and continuous work of all sorts of state commissions finally appointed extraordinary elections of the Kyiv city of the Rada and the capital's chapter; On March 19, in Kharkov, the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) began withdrawing documents of the city council. Investigators opened a criminal case on the fact of embezzlement of state funds by abuse of official position by officials of the Kharkov City Council.

Can you imagine such that the chairs near Valentina Matvienko and Yuri Luzhkov, the mayors of the two metropolitan cities of the Russian Federation shave almost on one day? But in Ukraine - please. The "owner" of the capital of Kyiv and the mayor of the "pioneers" Kharkov on the verge of political bankruptcy.

The mayors of both gentlemen became a noise of Orange Revolutions. Due to the oversight of the political elite, two key cities of Ukraine were not quite received, so to speak, adequate citizen. Not quite adequate even by Ukrainian standards. This is Leonid Chernovetsky, who deserves for a deep look that looks around other worlds, and for the nickname Lenya Cosmos inaccessible to understanding the usual earthlier , which grabbed Kiev into the “orange inheritance”. And Mikhail Dobkin, better known as the hero of the Internet Rolikov , who fell in Kharkov.

However, a simple person - he, as you know, will not become the mayor. And it will become difficult, which, moreover, is not so easy to remove from this place. In the past two years, the "case of two mayors" in Ukraine has turned into a directly full national project. By Ukrainian standards, of course.

During the electoral company, Leonid Chernovetsky was positioned as a representative of the orange wing of power, but from the moment of his election he began to demonstrate the position "I am his own master." Thanks to unpopular solutions for managing the city’s infrastructure and eccentric, even for Ukraine, he ultimately became an uncomfortable figure for everyone, which led to the decision to remove Chernovetsky from the post. According to unofficial information, the mayor of the city, Mr. Chernovetsky, became using the leadership of a sect , which successfully held an election campaign and provided him with the required number of votes. However, the orientation on network technologies and the operation of the age segment of the electorate in the same Russia fell under suspicion. It would seem, what does Anton Bakov have to do with it?

And if today the mayor of Kyiv has no choice but to make loud statements and prepare for the elections, then the mayor of Kharkov with an unchanging staff of assistants continue the exhausting struggle for the city ... in their style. A loud statement has already been made about the “capture of the city hall” by security forces. And the next series of this low -budget blockbuster "Liberation of Kharkov" will not be long in coming, I assure you. And what to expect from a person who claims an attempt to attempt, after someone had the imprudence next to him to blow up a cheap firewood? The "Party of Regions" even had to recognize the existence of a "lousy sheep" in its ranks in the person of Mikhail Dobkin and his unmanned assistant, the Kharkov head of the city organization "Party of Regions" by Gennady Kernes. However, no less odious and supporters of the pro -presidential NSNU are not at all the last people in the region, also distinguished by the “creative” brothers Protasy, owners of the famous trading network in Ukraine (Target), and the regional governor Arsen Avakov.

In Kharkov, the war with the current mayor began long before his election. The main candidate from the pro -presidential party with the beginning of the fall, it would seem, the iron rating morally surrendered and eventually failed. Which, of course, did not suit the orange forces in the person of the master of the governor and ambitious brothers. And after the end of the election, the war of compromises continued. For example, the same aforementioned video was on the Internet thanks to Orange. Mr. Mayor quite adequately answered this provocation by fanning the scandal about the allocation of a construction site for a new shopping center for Target.

And the reason for the formation of the case against the city administration and the mayor of Dobkin was indefatigable appetites and a sense of impunity of Mr. Mayor. The Security Service of Ukraine today establishes the facts of illegal expenditures of budget funds worth about 1.5 million hryvnias (approximately 7 million rubles). In general, the indicated revision found in the activities of the Kharkov City Council various kinds of theft in the amount of 2.4 million hryvnias (11.2 million rubles). Prior to this, against Mr. Mayor, they tried to initiate the case in the city prosecutor’s office, with whom, however, the master managed to “agree”. If two warring parties were clearly formed in Kharkov, then the mayor of Kyiv managed to set up all against himself, and primarily the inhabitants of the city. 79% of Kyivans, as sociological surveys show, believe that the mayor needs to be changed. By the way, the same polls also call the main applicants for the post of mayor of the capital. The "case of mayors" was originally positioned as regional "showdowns" between the "Party of Regions" and the pro -presidential NSNU.
