From the editorial office. The replica of Valery Anashvili in the journal Pushkin about the books of representatives of the conservative revolution caused a lively discussion. However, almost all discussing the problem so much biasedly look at the German -speaking authors - Karl Schmitt, Ernst Jungar, Hans Freyer. But these remarks look extremely incomplete and therefore have dubious value, and for what reason: the word was not given to those people who publish this literature. RG cannot but react for a discussion for his part (after all, in fact, the text of Valery Anashvili first appeared in the RSA for the first time in the network edition). That is why we provide the site for those people who publish this literature and do not consider it shameful. So we will read the answer of Mikhail Bogatov, a philosopher from Saratov, who believes that Junger's heritage in Russia is extremely relevant, but not at all in the political aspect.
* * *
To read the collection of the political articles of Junger "Nationalist Revolution" [1] , which was published in Germany only in 2001, almost seventy years after writing the last text placed in it, it is possible, at least three completely different goals, if we remember that we have a thought that is ready to act .
The simplest and most difficult is the most difficult thing is to take it seriously as a kind of statement addressed to the reader. It is easy to do this insofar as Junger is captivatingly simple and understandable in these texts. The difficulty here, however, is that we do not have such a political space where this statement by Junger could sound . And the point is not that we do not live in the era of the Weimar Republic, and not even in Germany, and outside the window, another millennium. The point, rather, is that such space is where these texts of Junger will sound - never existed, and it always, again and again, was created again. To believe that Junger’s contemporaries were easy to understand and accept is to make the same mistake as those who believe that in the days of Nietzsche understood Nietzsche, and during the time of Kant in Königsberg there were completely wonderful philosophers. Of course, Nietzsche was understood in their own way, like Jungra, and you can argue for an infinitely long time about the adequacy or inadequacy of modern interpretations. But from the task of understanding, these disputes never freed anyone. In this sense, the first strategy for reading, reading Junger’s message, requires a great work of understanding what is happening around right now , as well as what has always happened and will happen.
To some extent, it is really more difficult for us to deal with these text, but perhaps thanks to this particular difficulty, these texts will become even more sound, since they urge just to overcome any difficulties-with a clear ethical and life position. It is clear that it is extremely difficult to master such work, it requires such an effort that today's Russian reader, as it seems, will be quite difficult, especially, a historical context, unconditionally different .
If we talk about the historical context, then it is worth mentioning the second possible purpose of reading: this book should become an indispensable source for researchers of politics, philosophy and history of the twentieth century . This reading strategy will allow you to see in the essentially manifest texts, the abundance of instructions and details, which is quite difficult to subtract in historical work in this period of history (very, by the way, ambiguous, since it is not easy for a person far from the minds of this period in Germany, to distinguish, for example, nationalists from national socialists, and even more difficult to see the cause of the conflict between the conflict between the conflict Yunger and the NSDAP, while it is necessary to do this, and this work may not be able to the lazy mind, accustomed to dumping everything that requires effort, because it is much easier to hang labels than to understand the essence of the matter). This book allows you to feel the spirit of the era, the spirit of an aristocrat and a warrior , who turned out to be deceived and abandoned by that situation of Germany after the First World War , like almost all officers and soldiers. The book gives particular value to the knowledge of this spirit that Junger here offers not only to look at his life and call compatriots to the silent witnesses of what is happening, but persistently calls them, explains and exclaims. Yunger’s book is a book about the revolution that is required - another one, as much as it is necessary, in order to just avoid conformism and perception of the established as due.
It seems that this book - the third after the “worker” and “heart of the adventurers” published in Russian (translation, commentary and afterword of the famous researcher of German philosophy Alexander Mikhailovsky) - this book allows you to hear Junger directly , bypassing the diary and art form (all the most important diaries of Junger in Russian have already been released, which is still impossible to say about his artistic works that are still waiting for his artistic works that are still waiting for his artistic works that are still waiting for his artistic works that are still waiting for his artistic works that are still waiting your turn). In addition, this book is a source of understanding of the history of thought, since the careful reading of Heidegger of the “worker” of Junger is already well known. These texts require no less attention, and often much more, since they are easier than “worker” or “total mobilization” for simple cries or wishes, while these articles are conceptual and, like all conceptual, remain relevant ; These texts are simply necessary for those who are engaged in Spengler or Nietzsche, as well as the circle of thinkers of the “conservative revolution”. This includes the same Karl Schmitt or Martin Heidegger, who, thanks to certain trends - in political life and in the publishing strategies of our country, become more and more popular (which, presumably, will not bring great benefits for their understanding).
The third goal that the one who takes this book can pursue is almost diametrically opposite to the first and, in fact, it is not even worthy of voicing, since it comes down to ironicism over this losing pathos and romance . In Russia, the intellectual environment is still quite cowardly for a serious comprehension of what is happening , and therefore is often content with the simplest, ironic position, which allows you to take a position from top to bottom, without making any efforts. We repeat that this goal does not even deserve mention, but for those who, without a task of understanding, will take Junger seriously, substituting their own, instead of his meanings, who occupied the same superficial ironic position will serve as the only worthy interlocutors for their prominent conversation, turning, as usual, to a quarrel, which, as it happened, has already happened about Nietzsche or Heidegger, serves only as an unreasonable compromise of these thinkers themselves, due to which lazy readers are trying to look at the world down. I do not want to talk about it, but Junger is doomed to such a compromise - and the reader’s task for himself is to prevent it.
Junger's texts deserve the attention of the reader who can be attentive. Jungra in Russia needs thoughtful interlocutors , not political shareholders, because, despite the political coloring of all its texts (and there are about forty of them), the issues of technology , aristocracy of the spirit , social arrangement and civil duty , as well as art issues are raised here. The book is equipped with worthy comments on each text and article by Mikhailovsky, leading the necessary context for the original understanding of the author. Indeed, ultimately, to avoid the one -sidedness of these three goals mentioned, excluding one another, you can only do an independent work of understanding that no one can do for the reader. Even such an outstanding warrior and writer as Ernst Junger. This is only an invitation to careful reading, which before the thought , ready to act , requires the courage of thought, ready to understand .
