The light of beacons

The first year of implementation of the national project "Education" has provided some assistance to advanced universities, schools and individual teachers. However, the meaning of the project is not at all exhausted. God forbid, if the whole idea is reduced only to the distribution of awards to the best. The rewarding of the best is not a goal, but a means. The goal is to improve our education system. But what is an improvement? How do we understand him? If the winners of the competitions within the framework of the national project are recognized as the best, then what is their difference from the rest? Maybe they are differently approaching the content of education? Maybe they use new pedagogical methods? It is possible that advanced educational institutions organize the educational process better or use new educational technologies.

Our traditional way to improve the situation can be called the "Lighthouse method." In our country, it is customary to distinguish and reward the best in order to be guided by them, they were imitated. This is not the only way to improve. So, for example, in Finland they act in a completely opposite way. They help just lagging. And they succeed, since the funds are allocated to pre -thought -out programs, and their spending is put under the most severe control of the public. We have no such experience. But we have a “beacon method”, the shortcomings of which we know and know how to fight them.

The beacon method works when the beacons shine. The experience of the best should be known. It must be discussed. A critical look is not the view of the ill -wisher. This is a recognition, evaluation and fitting someone else's experience on yourself. It is not enough to see how the best work, and breathe a breath that everything is wrong with you. You need to understand what you can take and do at yourself. Or make wrong, but even better.

The Federal Institute for the Development of Education (FIRO) of the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Russian magazine, begins the project "Light of Mayaks". We will try to highlight as many programs of the winners of competitions as possible as part of the national project "Education" and ask readers to express their opinion on the presented material. And we have one goal - so that our children should be good at school and after it. We would also like our forum to become a platform for discussing and spreading the best experience. It can become the basis of the virtual club of teachers, parents and just people interested in the future of our country. The future of our club depends on you and me. It will be a tender pipe through which you can see the experience of the best. At the forum, the representative expert community will be able to discuss any decisions regarding the education system. The results of discussions can be beneficial to the State Duma, the Government, and the regional governing bodies. The national project "Education" continues.
