Soon, another exotic subject will appear in Russian education institutions-the discipline “Spiritual personality safety and traditional Russian spiritual and moral values in the work of a psychologist”, whose work program was published on the website of the portal of federal state educational standards of higher education.
I think it makes no sense to waste time to seriously discuss all points of this document. I will dwell on only a few matters.
Are theses set out in the program, generally accepted ideas about the psychological assistance and the profession of a psychotherapist? Of course, no.
The introduction says:
“In the work of a psychologist, when interacting with a client (patient), his worldview and civil identity play key and often, a decisive role in the results of this interaction.” This clearly contradicts the definition adopted by the European Association of Psychotherapy, whose members are very many Russian psychologists and psychotherapists: "Psychotherapy is an independent scientific discipline, which is a practical activity in which it is an independent and free profession."
But, of course, it is clear that the authors of the program do not concern the declarations adopted somewhere in Strasbourg. After all, they fulfill an important task - they realize the course of the state leadership of the state from the European cultural space and values of Western civilization and the creation of their “special” path. In particular, in this regard, the refusal of the Ministry of Health of Russia from the transition to the international classification of diseases of the 11th revision, adopted by the World Health Organization, was also noteworthy.
Does this program have an attitude to scientific psychology? If it has, it is very indirect. In any case, there is no evidence -based psychology. The program proposes to analyze issues such as
Examples of the retreat of peoples from traditional spiritual and moral values with examples of the World Flood,
"Sadoma and Homory" (spelling of the original document is preserved),
“The transformation of the Grand Duke Vladimir from the immoral man in the highly moral as a result of the adoption of Christian spiritual values”,
“Storage of mind and feelings from destructive information”, etc.
What is the real goal of the program? The real goal is quite transparent - the ideological indocial of youth and the creation of the image of the enemy. The same function is performed by “talk about the important” and changes in the program of studying history. In the Soviet Union, the role of such subjects was occupied by the history of the CPSU, political economy and other “scientific” “Izma”. As it later turned out
All these items for the most part turned out to be information garbage. Although individual departments were distinguished under them and for many teachers they were a stable and even prestigious way of earning.
Will similar programs be implemented on the ground by educational institutions? Of course, they will, with a greater or lesser degree of enthusiasm, like all initiatives descended from above.
Well, the traditional question: what to do? You can answer it only in the most general form. In times when state and non -state institutions lose their moral authority and cease to be landmarks for finding the truth and solving ethical issues, a very big responsibility falls on an individual. Everyone must develop moral criteria for himself and decide whether to live “not by lies”, preserving his own spiritual security, or following similar programs.
