The paradox of our time: believers against the construction of the temple. The Russian Orthodox Church wants to build a large temple complex in the Ryazan city park, in the place where old people and children are now walking. And although today in Ryazan there is no shortage of religious services - on weekdays, the temples of the city are empty - the Russian Orthodox Church seizes more and more new territories.

In rallies of protest against the development of the green zone, residents of the Sokoksky microdistrict were opposed: pensioners, young mothers, as well as war veterans who planted this park.

However, the situation with ecology in the city requires planting, and not cut down trees. The number of green spaces per person is three times less than normal. Environmentalists began to alarm the alarm and in case of a log house numbered and counted all the trunks at the expected place of development. Currently, in Ryazan there is a moratorium on the development of green zones. It will last until September 27, 2012. However, the paper signed in all instances has already reached the mayor of the city of Vitaly Artemov. Now the fate of the park depends on him. Meanwhile, veterans are ready to fight to the end. Residents do not believe the promises of the diocese to preserve the trees: it is clear that all the planned buildings will not be applied on the site of the former Green Theater.

Activist businessman, Arthur Ilyasovich Atakishiev, who is fighting for the appearance of the temple, claims that the old cut-off maples will be replaced by new noble varieties. But how many decades will these new trees grow? According to the developer, today this is the only city park in the area is the center of spirituality and the dark kingdom, where it is scary to walk. And only the church can free him from beer gatherings of youth in the evenings.

The funny thing is that the temple complex is going to cost the money of the inhabitants of the Pooksky microdistrict themselves.
