So, two promotions have passed within one week in support of Pussy Riot. Actually, there are much more of them, but I will try to compare only two, which passed on August 15 in front of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and held today in the Cologne Cathedral.

So, the objective side.

Moscow .

About 20 people in multi -colored robes lined up on the steps of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior with a quote from the Gospel "Blessed Military" (Matthew 5, 7). The action took place during extra -budgetary time, the doors of the temple were closed, during the action between the participants not a single person passed.

Cologne .

Directly during the worship, which was led by the vicar bishop, two young men and a girl in multi -colored costumes headed for the altar, shouting the slogan "Free Pussy Riot".

Where was the "severity" (in the sense of obstructing the commission of a religious rite) more? Obviously, in the second case: in the first case, the worship was not at all.

Reaction to the action.

Moscow .

The guards of the temple began to very harshly disperse the participants in the action, cruelly, painfully, wringing their hands. In addition, they attacked journalists, one of the journalists, the guard tried to hit his foot.

Cologne .

The guards with the use of force brought the participants of the action from the temple and behind the doors of the cathedral immediately released them (however, preventing them from leaving). Neither the guards nor the three police officers stood nearby prevented the action in front of the doors: leaflets scattered, the girl, pulling out the poster, turned it around, the guy said something for ten minutes (I don’t know German, but, judging by the context, in support of Pussy). This was shot by numerous amateurs, whom no one also interfered. And what struck me was the actions of the bishop: he called for praying for fulfilling the requirements of the participants in the action, as well as for all people in Russia.
