Valery Panyushkin
The boy is three years old. He has autism. We cannot talk to him because he does not speak. I speak with his mother. Her name is Katya. Three years ago, she made a successful career in the advertising business and could not even think that someday for ten thousand rubles would do at least something. Now, in order to arrange a disability to the child and receive ten thousand rubles of pensions, Katya dutifully bypasses medical rooms, in each of which she is offered to hand over her son to a neuropsychiatric boarding school.
In Moscow there is the only hospital number 6 where mentally ill children examine them to arrange a disability. If you have a mentally ill child, you cannot avoid the "six".
Katya finds to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist does not even look at the boy, only asks:
"Does the pyramid collect?"
"Does not collect", –– honestly Katya admits.
And the boy, meanwhile, looks thoughtfully out the window, is immersed in his inner world, and God knows that he hears and understands from this autistic world.
"Then pass it to a social institution!" - advises the psychiatrist.
"In the sense of a kindergarten, is there any kind of for such children?" - Katya does not understand.
"No, boarding school!"
Then only Katya comes to her that she is offered to abandon the child. Her child is not inspected. She is not offered help. She is not advised which you can come up with classes and exercises for such a child. She is not given a list of correctional kindergartens. She is not called defectologists who could work with the child. She is simply offered to refuse the child.
"Do you have the eldest daughter?"
"Eat"
"Is she healthy?"
"Healthy".
"Well, live with a healthy child and rejoice."
Katya can withstand approximately the same conversation not only in the office of a psychiatrist, but also in the office of a defectologist, speech therapist, psychologist ... And what else do specialists need to go there in order to arrange a disability to the child?
The whole system is configured to persuade Katya to betray. Katya read somewhere that the state spends on a monthly one and a half thousand dollars a month for each child in a neuropsychiatric boarding school. If this money gave her, Katya would have arranged classes for her child and, perhaps, she would have managed to at least partly socialize the boy.
Katya read on forums where the parents of children of patients communicate with autism communicate that in Canada, Germany and Israel there are special kindergartens for such children, in which five babies in the group and for each child are specialist. If there was such a kindergarten, Katya would have managed to make money herself. She knows how to earn money, and even so much so that you can partially pay for a special garden.
But there is no special garden. There is no sufficient number of defectologists. Nobody helps Katya. The whole system is configured so that a woman abandones her sick child, and that all her life for one and a half thousand dollars a month, the state contains a sick child, like an animal, in a cage.
And the boy stands and looks thoughtfully out the window. And we do not know what exactly from what is happening he understands, and how does he apply to what is happening.
Perhaps he understands everything. Perhaps he understands that today his mother has not passed him. Perhaps he understands that everyone else passed him.
