Recently, the Murmansk region has been leading in the number of alternatively serving the population. Now about 25 people are undergoing alternative civil service (AGS). This spring another 9 people will be sent to the AGS. We met with those young people who experienced this type of service on themselves to find out about everything out of the firsthand.

Do not take them to the astronauts?

There is a common myth of an alternative - it is chosen by either men with non -traditional sexual orientation, or adherents of religious organizations. Our society has a real man who is gone and lays down, who must first know what Kirzachi and footcloths are. Perhaps that is why in the classroom classes about the alternative service they say it, and the military registration and enlistment office hangs a small poster with an extract from the law “On Alternative Service”?

The term of alternative service is 21 months. The work schedule is normalized and includes vacation, sick leave and weekends. You can parallel to receive education in absentia or at the evening and live at home (as a rule, AGSNIKI remains to serve in their city). You can not quit of your own free will, participate in strikes and work part -time in another place.

In Kirovsk, there is also a young man undergoing alternative service. Artyom Dyomin works in the mail in the delivery department. The leadership of a rather young man, and with pleasure speaks on the eve of the meeting: "You will immediately recognize him, he is alone with us."

- In general, it is good to serve. Work as work. For six months it has passed, but I have not noticed, ”says Artyom.

He believes that by undergoing civil service, he will bring the society more benefit that the army should be professional and voluntary, and not a humiliating obligation. He has already studied on a sociologist at the Murmansk State University. Artyom said that he thought about the call in advance, learned information about the alternative, talked with people aimed at the AGS.

He served his own at the Russian Post, only in Murmansk, and Gleb Paikachev. He worked as a courier for almost two years.

- I believe that AGS is a good option for everyone. You get experience, after the service it served a little and earned the “polar”. And the fact that the service lasts 21 months is even imperceptible. In general, everyone has a constitutional right to choose the AGS. So why not use it? Gleb asks. The young man is convinced, the military enlistment offices sometimes sin with a frank violation of the rights of conscripts and unreasonably refuse to send to the AGS.

The guys say that the number of people who want to undergo an alternative service is growing steadily. In order to get to the AGS, it is enough to write a statement to the military registration and enlistment office six months before the start of the draft, in it to state their beliefs that contradict the service. And then explain their commissions in detail. To my question, what evidence the commissions are needed, Alexander Porruk answered. He takes place AGS in the Murmansk Regional Hospital.

- Yes, no one is needed. It’s just that you need to argue your position. There should not be any complaints, for example, from the police. If a person claims that he is a pacifist, and he has a drive for a fight, then this is the wrong pacifist. I will not say that the positions that AGSNIKI get on are humiliating. They can be directed by the waiter, and the programmer, and the sailor, ”says Sasha. He himself began as a orderly, but then the leadership instructed to engage in document management.

Not to serve

How many people, so many opinions. We asked the townspeople what they think about the alternative service.

“It seems to me that now the majority of conflicts between countries are solved economically or informational, so the army in the form in which it is now, does not make sense,” says Kirov resident Pavel Pogodin.

- I spent a year in the army with a broom and a shovel. It happened that they beat under the breath. But then he made the real friends, ”Ivan shared with army impressions. He "demobilized" recently. When I asked him if he had agreed to replace the alternative army now, he thought. But the question never answered ...

- Yes, before, if the guy did not serve in the army, - not a single girl would have approached him! If everyone goes to alternatives, who will protect the country? - thinks Anatoly from apatitis. He is convinced that only the army makes real men from the Mamenkins, and an alternative service is a freebie. And girls need real tankers.
