Sitting in one of the seminars, I remembered such a funny thing called academic freedom, which is expressed in the freedom of the teacher to submit his subject exclusively as he wants (albeit a rude definition, but, I think, the essence completely reflects). When discussing this law, I came to the conclusion that the most interesting classes are held when the teacher actively uses this right, which is expressed in the creation of an active dialogue by reducing the boundaries of the “student-teacher”.
I remembered my pedagogical experience (I worked as a counselor in one of the country's suburban children's camps of the Kirov region). Always interest wakes up to a greater extent when the difference between the student and the student is reduced, when the equality of the sides of the dialogue is manifested. Nobody, of course, indicates that you need to fully come to the level of the student, in any case, some boundaries should remain. But ideally, in my opinion, these boundaries should be manifested in personal issues that are in no way related to the learning process. When interest appears, no longer needs to be forced to do anything, the student himself wants to get knowledge without coercion.
It is not for me to tell teachers how to teach me how to teach me, but, believe me, it’s better for them when you don’t have to spend your nerves to achieve the execution of the required. Whatever Makarenko said, interest is primary in such a relationship. If the student has no interest, then it is time to think about his professional qualities as a teacher.
