May Day transformations

Those who taught at school remember, probably, as the May Day demonstrations originated in Russia. How workers in tsarist Russia took to the streets of cities and how the police and horse Cossacks dispersed them. You can read about this from Gorky.

The event was dangerous, but noble, people protested against bourgeois-capitalists, declared their rights to decent labor and the same payment.

So such an event could hardly be called such an event. Not that atmosphere.

But then the October Revolution occurred and in memory of the workers' struggle for their rights, the new government decided to revive the May Day demonstrations but already a little under another sauce.
Remove the protest, and instead of it to put forward the main slogan - the proletarians of all the camp connect!
In general, it turned out well. A lot of proletarians from different countries united. Even the International Socialist Camp was formed. The world map has changed.

But the story again wagged its tail and the main organizer of the May Day unification holiday from the camp of socialism left and returned to the capitalist system.

It turns out that Russian hard workers again have a motive to organize protests against the exploitation of their work by the owner-capitalist.

But if such a motive appeared, then for some reason the protest was still disappeared somewhere.
It is impossible to take seriously when teachers and doctors with smiles and balls with a friendly step for festive songs, along with their workers, pace the streets and immediately ask them to increase their salary.

Are they asking? And where is the protest? Where are the requirements with which the power should be considered?
Some kind of absurdity. And if absurd, then this is the basis for a carnival event.

The street is the same, the place and time remain, and the format changes. Pageant.
Understanding the anecdotal of the situation in such demonstrations arise as an alternative, the so -called monstations, when the slogans and requirements are inherently as absurd as the right to decent work, with a simultaneous procession under the handle with those who have such a right you pour out.

Instead of protest, a carnival. Good replacement. It may turn out a wonderful holiday of spring and fun - revival to life and one’s own self -affirmation.

If the tradition can stand, then after a hundred years historians will write that the carnival movement in Russia was based on the street protests of the workers for their rights, but then people were tired of fighting and decided to arrange a holiday of fun and absurdity - the hard workers and the owners went together and cheerfully shouted about decent work and the same payment.
And then they completely forgot about work and began to scream about white bears, deer, chicken and other very important nonsense.
Here is such a transformation. A very entertaining story is very entertaining. There will be something to remember in a hundred years.
