It all started with a letter that came to our rector, on which there was a visa of the rector "K.V. Uspensky. " If you state briefly, then we were invited to take part in the “Building of the Wall of Bee Protection”, which claims (no, no less) for entering the Guinness Book of Records in the book. The action was held by a certain fund for the protection of bees, the existence of which we had not heard anything before.
At first, the author of these lines reacted skeptical to this action, but then I decided to still call on the phone indicated in the letter. A pleasant female voice told me that the aforementioned wall should consist of individual segments, each of which should include an image of at least three honeycombs. What else to portray, they say, decide for yourself. That is, any symbolism, any advertising, etc. The action itself is held in order to draw attention to the problem of preserving the bees, the number of which falls (here the voice of my interlocutor became less confident, but I did not interrupt). After thinking, we decide what such a matter is to our squad is quite affordable, and the extra PR will not hurt us! At the same time, you can proport your native university!
For two weeks, the warriors pissed over our stand, licking it from pieces of foam, which remained after repair in some kind of dths and decorating it with images of bees, symbols of VGPU and squads of nature protection. The author of these lines went to the selection committee and asked for a hundred memos for applicants for the distribution. Like, PR to PR!
On the appointed day of the end of May, when Voronezh is already drowning in the heat and poppolin the “fluff” and the heat does not even reduce the light breeze from the reservoir, we gather by noon on Sovetskaya Square opposite the building of the main concert hall. The organizers of the action show us a place allotted for our stand.
The stand arrives at exactly the appointed time. Students even found for his transportation through the acquaintances of someone's Gazelle. Installing the stand does not take much time, and we get the opportunity to look around before the event.
On the right and left of us are trays from various organizations on which water and various honey sweets (pastille, rugs, gingerbread, etc.) are exhibited for free tasting. In one place, there were even plastic bottles with the inscription “meads” (the lively interest among young people!). There were quite a few delegations from schools and preschool institutions. Near us, some house of creativity on the move and without swing began to hold a competition of children's drawing. The winner received a prize - a honey candy!
A little at a distance colleagues from the center of environmental policy tried to build a stand of three honeycombs made of ... secondary waste. But it seems to have overestimated his strength! The construction folded with difficulty fell apart from the slightest blow of the breeze.
On the other end of the square, I notice one popular TV presenter for summer residents and gardeners. It is called somehow such as "in the garden in the garden." The popular TV presenter stood under a large sign, where his surname with an IP post was flaunted and noisily advertised his products.
Suddenly, we notice a group passing by, which were discharged into the fluff, decorated with ribbons of the color of the Russian “tricolor” of school graduates (our action takes place simultaneously with school “last calls”). Students, not bewildered, grab leaflets and rush into the crowd of graduates. Less than a minute later from the batch of taken leaflets there is nothing left! We even regret that we did not take anymore! True, no one else offered us!
We notice that our stand is popular. Young couples and parents with children come to him every now and then, they take pictures, and start a conversation with students. Local television for a long time directed the television cameras with the note “Russia 1” to us. The students did not forget to take spectacular poses and wave in the camera with handles.
After an hour and a half, the heat is still intensifying. We notice that the people around us are clearly fewer (it seems that the “effect of novelty” has passed), and some of the trays of water and sweets have already disappeared. Since the memos are distributed, we consider our mission to be completed. We turn the stand, load it into the car and, saying goodbye to the neighbors and organizers, we retreat.
Conclusions on the action:
The main conclusion is that you will never guess which action will bring the greatest pose in terms of PR and advertising. Interest in us and (which is important!) In our university turned out to be higher than the expected! So it is worth thinking about participating in shares, at first glance, there are no direct relation to us. Here, the essence of the action often comes to the fore, but the time and place of its holding.
