Lilianna Zinovna Lungina (maiden surname Markovic ; June 16 , 1920 , Smolensk - January 13 , 1998 , Moscow ) - Russian philologist , translator of fiction.
She spent her childhood in Germany , Palestine and France . In 1934, she returned with her mother in the USSR to her father. She entered IFLI , who was transferred to Moscow State University during her studies and attached to the philological faculty, then graduated from the graduate school of IMLI. M. Gorky (1952). She taught French and German .
According to the memoirs of Lungina herself (Oleg Dorman’s film “Settail”), the work on transferring from French and German, which she knew from childhood and taught her in any publishing house did not give her due to her Jewish origin. Even friendly relations with the head of the foreign version of Detgiz Boris Gribanov, with whom they studied together, did not help. He told Lungina (a quote from the book of her memoirs): "I am not allowed to give translations from French Jews." However, at the Lungin Institute, she was engaged in Scandinavian languages and literature, and this served her good service - there was no competitors in this field. On the advice of Gribanov, she turned to Swedish children's literature, where she opened a real treasure - the book “ Baby and Carlson, who lives on the roof ” Astrid Lindgren . The Soviet edition of the story (1957) was only two years after the appearance of the Swedish original (1955).
Later, the Swedish writer herself admitted that thanks to the talent of Lungina (three more books Lindgren: about Peppy , Emile and Roni ), her heroes became popular and loved in the Soviet Union, as nowhere else in the world.
Lungin translated from French, German, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish languages . Its work includes different time and style of the work:
In the late seventies and the first half of the eighties, she led a seminar of young translators. The first result of the work of the seminar was the translation of short stories Boris Vian . The published collection entered the novel “Foam of Days” in the translation of the leader and a dozen stories in the transfers of the seminar.
In different years, the seminar took part:
In 1990, she wrote in French the book “Moscow Seasons” ( French Les Saisons de Moscou ), showing the West Russia of the Soviet era. The book presents the images of famous writers, actors, politicians, dissidents, peasants of Moti (who served for some time in the family by the housekeeper and the nanny of the eldest son) and simply random fellow travelers on the train. "Moscow Seasons" were awarded the prize of Elle magazine.
Due to the position of the leadership of the central channels of Russian television, the film lay on a shelf for 11 years [2] . In this regard, when in 2010 the film was awarded the TEFI-2010 Award, Oleg Dorman “did not come to the ceremony, abandoning TEFI for moral reasons” [3] . The representative of Dorman, who arrived instead of him at the award ceremony in St. Petersburg, read a letter to the director, who, in particular, said:
Among the members of the academy, its jury, founders, and so on are people, because of which our film could not get to the audience for eleven years. People who despise the public and who made television the main factor in the moral and public disaster that has occurred over the past ten years.
- Oleg Dorman , film director [3]
I expressed gratitude to Grigory Chkhartishvili , Leonid Parfyonov , as well as Oleg Dobrodeev and Sergey Shumakov, who took responsibility and launched the film on the air in 2009, Dorman emphasized that the success of the film is primarily the success of his heroine, Lilianna Lunginina. Criticizing those leaders of the media, members of the Academy, its jury, founders, because of which the film could not get to the audience for eleven years, Dorman concluded:
They have no right to give awards to the "trolley". The success of Lilianna Zinovievna Lungina does not belong to them.
